Booooooo to HR Depts. I do sometimes wonder about their usefulness. Mr Watty's HR dept recently informed him they were unable to send him details of his pension plan because that would mean they would have to look at his address and that would breach security protocol ?????????? I mean really ???? Of what possible use is an HR dept that has such an excuse?
    We couldn't stop laughing!
He offered to give them permission and said he was willing to take the risk. Apparently they have to send him a form!! You couldn't make it up!
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

    I've been paid :j

First "normal" month since pay rise/new tax code - an increase of £217/month :T

I knew it was too good to be true... it wasn't until I saw my payslip that I remembered April's wages included the dividend on my vesting LTI shares

So this month's salary is the first "normal" month since pay rise on 1 March/new tax code - an increase of £100/month

    Yesterday's egg update:

    Eggs IN 3
    Eggs OUT 0

GCC steps: after 3 days my average is 13,485 steps :)

Plans for today include taking my aunt to M&S this morning and going to a family BBQ this afternoon/evening
Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000
    Mortgage-free: January 2021
Retired: June 2022 (186 months early!)

Morning MWC, that's an amazing avg steps per day - go girl :)

We'll be thinking of you today as we are hoping to work in the garden.
Last weekend was so dreadful we both feel a bit desperate to get out in the fresh air.

Enjoy the BBQ and time with your Aunt.

    Thanks Tilly

I need to get fit for Norway - only 4 weeks away

I'm hoping to get an hour in the garden this afternoon and longer tomorrow as I need to deadhead & tidy up, mow the lawn, plant my rose and sow some more seeds in the raised beds :)

    Eggs IN 3 today + 3 yesterday
    Eggs OUT 0

3 eggs/day from 8 chickens is a very poor return - I've told them to buck their ideas up!

Today is Day 6 of GCC - my average is 14,525 steps/day and I got a PB of 23,092 steps yesterday (5.5 mile walk with Mr MWC, mowed the lawn and walked to the supermarket) :T

No money news and 28 days until pay day :(

I need to start job-hunting seriously and to make contact with the new department head of the same function in our parent company.

:rotfl: How will they know where to send the form to :rotfl:.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I've LinkedIn with her... although she has 500+ connections so she must accept any invitation! She has viewed my profile though so that's a start :)
