House went on the market on Friday, viewing Saturday and an offer today. I haven't accepted yet even though very close to asking price (EA said to try and get a little bit more) but now panicking a bit!

Very stressful all this - and despite looking for a while we haven't seen anything we like at all yet!

That is good news. A similar thing happened to me last year, I couldn't find anywhere suitable and decided to stay put. I'm glad I did in hindsight. Don't be pressured by an EA into going into rented! They will try it on shortly.

So far we're having a very mixed first time selling experience so curious to see how others are getting on!!

How proactive does everyone find their EA to be? Do you have to chase for viewer feedback? How soon did you have your for sale boards up?

Met Thursday, photos same day, on rightmove Sat, board up today and first veiwings.

Hoping for a quick sale so I can stop hiding things in cupboards!!

The EA I did not go with said 2 weeks for particulars to go up - glad I picked the wee local company over the national chain.

That's really good! I chased about our board early last week, still no sign...

It just seems a bit odd to me that you won't lower the price because your husband won't let you but you go on here thanking only those posts that talk about things selling quickly and upping prices. Being supportive isn't telling people only what they want to hear... No disrepect.

Anyway I'll get back in my shell ...

It seems odd to me that, since Brexit, you continually post on a thread that is a support thread for sellers waiting for a buyer.
So how is your house sale going?!
And yes, before you criticise, you are entitled to post on any thread on this forum but there are many other threads where you can (and do) post your crash warnings without constantly trying to bring this one down.
 Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.
  • Surely if we are heading for a crash it would be A GOOD THING to sell and go into rented?

Hmm, still waiting for the people who offered yesterday to get back to me. Is it wise to chase up the EA or will that make me look desperate?
