    Thanks for the reply.
We should be completing our house purchase within the next few weeks and we're expecting £900 from our H2B ISA bonus.
It'll be going on some furniture so it's good to know when we could receive the money after completion :)

do you actually get the bonus? I only ask as the statement that our son received from his solicitor showed that the bonus reduced the amount that he needed to pay.

It's as broad as it's long admittedly.

OP - glad it's all been sorted out.
  • I almost had the same problem with Lloyds. Thankfully the lady processing my request had to check something with her collegue and he told her not to transfer any funds. She then explained to me it was first time she was processing HTB. Apparently they dont do it very often.

We only got the bonus after completion because of Barclays admitting it was their mistake. I doubt it's usual practice. I would close your HTB ISA asap so your solicitor has the 5 days required to apply for the bonus.

We also only physically received the money because of the administrative error as well. The original plan was when the solicitor sent through the completion statement with outstanding balance, the 2 £900 bonuses were minused from all the fees etc. Because of the error, I had to transfer an extra £900 to cover these fees, and this was refunded as a cheque.
