Best over all for savings?

in ISAs & tax-free savings
Me and my partner would like to open a joint account in which to store our savings. We would be starting off with around 5k. We would like to pay into it each month and also have access to the money in case of an emergency. Which savings/current/ISA account would be the best? Thanks
