    Tesco Internet saver (sorry)

    No problem

I did try to get this from you in post 7 above.

If you're setting up a payment on your Tesco savings account to bring money IN from your Santander 123 account, it will indeed appear as a DD on the 123 account. That's kind of the point :p

Tesco is however one of the very few savings accounts which operates this way and I do wonder how long they will allow this method to continue

    No.
    Step 1
You log into your Tesco account and whilst logged in you instruct Tesco to setup a Direct Debit mandate to collect £1 a month from your Santander account.
    Step 2
Then in a few days time you log into your Santander account and you will see that Tesco have set up a Direct Debit to collect the £1 each month from your Santander account.

Therefore, the Direct Debit mandate is setup from Tesco to pull from Santander.

You cannot switch a Tesco Savings account for any future switching incentives.

Colsten has already told you this in post 8

You don't have any current accounts at Tesco paying 5% on a 3k balance. They pay 3% on a 3k balance.

It's actually an interesting question, ie can you setup direct debits to pull money to your Tesco current accounts like you can with their savings accounts. I'd have to check that.
