I have a SIPP with Liberty.
They only allow investments via the following list of stockbrokers:
https://www.libertypensions.com/investment-options/dfms-advisory-stockbrokers
I'm looking to invest in funds. I'm happy to choose myself. Was thinking of Vantage lifestyle 100 and 80 funds.
Anyone recommend a broker from the list to use?
I know there is a separate list but I don't want to move my pension from liberty unless unavoidable.

I would think it would initially depend on what you want, as you wish to choose yourself, a DFM is probably not suitable, advisory more so but still not what you say you want.
If you are sure you want to choose the funds yourself it would be a case of finding which of these companies allow this and what their charges / services are.
Are you sure Liberty don't offer a direct client service rather than through a broker?
Someone with a bit more knowledge will probably be along soon....0 -
You can have more than one pension plan.
Leave Liberty as it is and open another SIPP elsewhere?0 -
Why are you choosing a discretionary fund manager?
I am not a fan of DFMs. They add a layer of charges and their investment returns are usually not worth it and can be matched or improved upon by using conventional options at lower cost.I'm looking to invest in funds. I'm happy to choose myself. Was thinking of Vantage lifestyle 100 and 80 funds.
Then using a DFM does not fit with that objective.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Thanks. What's the cheapest pension to invest in Vanguard Lifestyle. Unfortunately Vanguard doesn't have a SIPP.0
