    Afternoon all,

On the back of this thread I decided to fire off some emails today and try my luck.

My circumstances back in 2010 after losing my job were pretty dire and saw me using payday loans continuously until I defaulted on them all.

This was also whilst having a defaulted £5k loan and 2 credit cards in default which I couldn't afford the payments on so I should never have been provided credit in the first place.

Wonga wrote off an outstanding debt some time ago however my other PDL's I paid off when I got myself back on my feet using settlement offers.

I actually received 4 responses from companies within an hour of sending them out this morning which surprised me. 1 advised they are satisfied they followed best practice and provided all relevant account info.

1 claimed they are not a payday lender and I have the wrong email address? Their email signature suggests otherwise however so I have politely asked them to sort this issue out.

The other two wont provide an account statement and have quoted CFA regs and told me at first instance to lodge the complaint with the FOS. I thought they would have wanted to deal with this in house first but hey ho, we shall see what happens!

Absolutely wonderful to read through this thread and see all the positive stories from people so hopefully I have a similar result.

    All the best everyone,

    Stephen

Excellent, here's hoping for a swift payment then.

PDUK have failed to reply to the adjudicators decision so I'm waiting for it to be passed to the ombudsman.

QQ are still dragging there heels arguing with the adjudicator about loans over 6 years old.

So, I'm at a bit of a standstill at the moment which is quite annoying. I was hoping to start looking at houses soon and wanted the defaults sorted before then but looks like it could be awhile yet.

Interesting response I got this evening:

With reference to your complaint we would be interested to know who provided you the template and our email address. We would also would like to see evidence such as a credit agreement that Express Finance Loans Ltd has ever provided you with a loan.

    Hi All

I just wanted to say thank you to you all for your advice on this blog. I got myself into terrible debt and I had no one to talk to about it. I started looking at this forum and decided to act and speak to all pay day loan companies I was in debt with, I have raised complaints with them all as I should never have been allowed to borrow.

Today Mr Lender have written off all loans, I have got a re payment plan with sunny and lending stream and am trying to get sum money back from pounds to pockets and payday uk. Next stop is the money shop.

I feel so much better in myself and want to give a big thanks to all. X

Great but you were managing your debt rather then redress. I hope Sunny told you they carry on charging interest. Just the start of the complaints of the future stacking up nonetheless.

Actually I'm off a different mindset the good thing about these outrageous loans appears to be when you really are in slightly more serious debt the DCA's and their like are minded to treat you so much better for being able to see them so I guess that is still something.

Hi, I hope someone can help on here. I'm in a similar situation with struggling to pay loans back and having to borrow to pay back. A couple of questions:-
    1) do the loans have to before 2014 I've had them since last year?
    2) is there a template on what to say to complaining and getting a refund?
    Thank you.

You'd be lucky to get a reply from anyone on this thread anymore, most people are mainly here to type their problems up. I have had 3 questions unanswered.

This is your starting point, this page will tell you step-by-step the process you need to carry out and what information you need to hand.

I have had emails from Sunny saying they have frozen interest? Is this not true?

If Sunny told you that they have frozen interest I would have thought it would be true. You could easily find out by comparing what you have paid with what you still owe. If they have been sneakily adding interest then you would definitely have cause to complain.
