Well look on the bright side, at least you will have the cash to pay for your tyre. Similar thing happpened to me last month, additional lodger for a month cash swallowed up by new power steering pump.

Get your fruit machine relisted doesn't take a minute says me who was going to list a sewing machine about January.:rotfl:

    Afternoon all,

Tomorrow is payday :j I've been very cautious this last week and managed to not pay out for much at all so I have just thrown a surplus £50.00 at CC1 even after buying fuel and provisions from Aldi for my weekend away.

I haven't had the tyre checked yet but there appears to be a very slow puncture which if you top up every now and then seems ok so I'll take it into a tyre place for a once over at some point.

My weekend was great and I'm back there next weekend (last one), well actually I go Weds eve - Sunday so just another 2 days at work before an extra long weekend :) It will cost me in fuel and more provisions though but definitely worth it.

On Friday me and my wife booked a nice rural quiet camp site (Adults only so peaceful) for the end of July - beginning of August so I'm looking forward to nice dog walks and a chilled out couple of weeks. We didn't manage to get away at all last year so are really looking forward to it. It will be financed from our joint account so I don't need to worry about money.

After clearing the loan last month I found that I was worried about money for the rest of the month. this time I shall make smaller more regular payments off the card to allow me to cover unforeseen expenses and also get the high feeling from seeing the balance drop. It's seemed to make the month drag by clearing a high amount at the start and then nothing else and that in turn has demotivated me.

I hope everyone else is ok.

    :)

    Hi all,

Well I had a great time away from Weds eve to Sunday. apart from Aldi provisions and fuel it didn't cost me anything either which is good.
Back to work today was tough.

Now I'm home I've logged in and checked my bank account for the first time since pay day.
My £60 DD to CC2 has left my account which is good and I've also sent a payment to CC1 of £100 to reduce the balance to £1,400. I will make multiple smaller payments to CC1 this month and hope to bring the balance below £1k before next pay day as long as there's no unexpected expenses.
The tyre seems to have a very slow puncture so hopefully I won't need a new one.

Due to work being VERY stressy at the moment I'm really feeling down. I keep wanting to treat myself but have so far restrained. Let's hope I can keep it up!!

    Hope you are all ok.

More focused than me, few little treats and hey my credit cards have gone up. Need a happy medium and you have to live a little.

Sort your tyre out someone pulled up in front of me this morning, I kept thinking glad my tyres just been checked or I could have come unstuck. Shook me up a lot.

Cheer up sun is out hip hip hooray - well except for hayfever lol

You're right Calling14 I will get my tyre checked.

I took your advice about having a little fun along the way. I've ordered an album from Amazon that I was after for a while and I have also contacted a friend in the US to see if they can buy and ship to me the US only deluxe version of Coldplays new album that I want.

To counter the guilt I've thrown another £50.00 at CC1 to bring the balance to £1,350.

I've had a better day today so it's easier to stay positive. :) I've also re listed the fruit machine so fingers crossed it sells.

    Keep smiling :)

So the Fruit Machine drama continues. Isn't there a specialist market?

Not sure I would class Coldplay as fun but each to his own.

Need to play catch up with you, you're beating me by over 500 pounds. Staring at spreadsheets planned. lol

If there is a specialist market I'm yet to find it :(

I like a lot of different music genres, just not heavy metal. :)

Had an interesting day at work. One of my staff got talking to me about money saving etc and planning for the future and was after advice about checking credit file etc. I got him signed up to noddle and pointed him towards MSE. He's now feeling a lot better.

It also boosted my urge to be debt free so as a result I've come home and sent another £50 to CC1. :)

I listen to all types of music, not sure about country music tho.:rotfl:

I would like to work in a job helping others with debt problems if I ever succeed in my mission.

Well done on another 50. I must try harder to catch up :)

Have a good cheap weekend :money:

    Evening all,

Well, I had a great weekend.
On Friday night I painted the bathroom ceiling with its first base coat layer. I'm doing it in stages because I easily get bored of painting.

On Saturday I tore down and burnt a rotten old summer house that the previous owners had left in the garden. I have got to take a few non burnable stuff to the tip but it's nice to see it gone.

Yesterday I went and bought some new clothes that were needed. I went to Primark so the lot only came to £50 :) Normally I shop at branded clothes shops but thought I'd give Primark a try and see how long stuff lasts etc.

Today work was ok although dragged, always does on a Monday. I've given myself a boost by logging into online banking and paying off another £150 to CC1. It's looking like I will definitely be able to get the balance of CC1 below £1000 with this months pay which will be good. I've just got to be careful with the spending.

    TTFN :)

The fruit machine has gone!!! :T :rotfl: :j

The buyer picked it up this afternoon, I have a dining room back and £80 for it :)

I've rounded it up to £100 and have just made another payment to CC 1 bringing the balance to £1050.

Am feeling very happy with that as it's a nice end to the day!!
