Currently, if you have a My Waitrose card and spend £5+ you can receive either a Daily Mail or Telegraph free from Monday to Friday.

Thank you very much for the tip-off, Curlytop. :T

Waitrose have updated their offer page now - details here.

Good to see they haven't increased the £5+ required spend, even at weekends. :)icon14.gif

Does anyone know if the £5 qualifying spend includes the cost of the newspaper?

Taken from the my waitrose site:

"Buy a Daily Telegraph, Daily Mail, Scottish Daily Mail, Observer or Guardian and spend over £5 (at the same time) and save £1.20 / 60p / 60p / £1.40 respectively off your shopping. Offer available to myWaitrose members only on presentation of a myWaitrose card in store. Subject to availability. Excludes online, petrol filling stations, Shell and Welcome Break. Maximum one transaction per day. Offer not available through self checkout. At a manned till the customer must show their card, and at quickpay the customer must scan their card at the quickpay docking station at the end of their shop. £5 spend must be on qualifying items. "Qualifying Items" means all items that are not Excluded Items. "Excluded Items" include non-groceries (such as flowers, entertaining, home and hampers), infant formula, tobacco, stamps, mobile top ups, e-Top up vouchers, lottery tickets, gift vouchers, cash back, car park charges, fuel and delivery charges. Other items may also be excluded from the scheme at the discretion of Waitrose."

Does this mean the price of the newspaper is included in the £5 spend?

I think it does but not 100% sure?

    I'm going today - I'll ask.

Apparently the £5 spend is after the cost of the newspaper.
