Mr A shop arrived today so first spend of the month is £63.90, included lunchbox things, nappies and showergel, toothpaste, wipes etc this week tough as we were low and lots of fruit as I'm on abit of a health kick. Hopefully tomorrow will be a NSD! Will update sig.January Grocery challenge - £165.31/£3500

Woohoo!! A NSD for me today when I thought I was actually going to end up wasting loads of money! Was working out of the office for most of today, and I knew I would be craving snacks to keep me going, but I managed to resist even though I was positioned right in front of a vending machine!! :j
I've remembered to get the chicken out of the freezer so that's the next couple of days meals sorted meaning I shouldn't need to spend any more money until the weekend :T
Very very proud of myself for today's NSD, so I'm treating myself to a large glass of Pimms (leftover from the summer so not costing me anything! ):ADFW Nerd 145:A

I was late in last night and DH really fancied a takeaway so £5.50 spent on a chippy tea.
I am also adding the £1.50 I spent on a jacket potato at work yesterday because I forgot to defrost bread for my sandwich:o
The chicken gratin planned for last night we will have tonight. I may make the GCJ lemon puddings if DH fancies them.
My month ends on the 19th of September.
I do HIS butty with frozen bread, ...his butty stays in the fridge so by the time he eats they are defrostedGc 2013 +26 -5. -4 -7 -14 -15 -10.-8.20 +15p+30+5.80 Dec +9 GROCERY challenge 2014 Jan -2Feb -3 March -1.50 April +5.40 May +4.90 June -3.July 16.50/85

Yesterday was a no spend day until about 9.30pm, when I could not resist popping out to try TCO at Tesco - 40p spent for 40 TCO. Put away for Christmas.Have racked my brains here but am stumped, what is TCO please.
Ditto what is TCO??!!
I was feeling smug after resisting the temptation to buy my OH branded anti dandruff shampoo (£4.99 for 500ml branded v 89p for 300ml own brand) only to discover that despite handing him his (own) shampoo, he has still been using my au$$ie shampoo!) Despite being on offer - 3 bottles for £10 - I couldn't face wasting £10 of my grocery budget on [his] branded shampoo...
I decided that I would buy my lunch today(a treat I thought?) but this plan was scuppered when I visited m&$ and the shelves were bare (well not bare but they didn't have what I had intended to buy). I still had unintended spends of a spice jar £2.49  (but will last ages) and a bag of paella rice (£1.09). I did resist buying the mince for my koftas that i hope to make later in the week - will instead buy the day I make them.
So lunch was instead an out of date pasta pot - it was perfectly fine of course and a stop off at the two local supermarkets on the way home mean YS stir fry veg x 2 (72p each mr t finest) and YS choc fudge cake (treat for the OH) 42p .
Getting a better idea of meal plans now. Spotted a beef ghou lash recipe (hair6y biker$) I like - might make this at the weekend (sunday) with plenty leftover for freezer0 -
Spent another €22.35 today, total spend now €92.57
