Are you struggling to just pay the bills ?
If so, maybe stop paying your debt down (temporarily), get up to date with your Utilites/Rent/Mortgage etc
Then when you're sorted, get a little emergency fund in place...so when things break and need fixing it is not a struggle.
Then start again on the debt pay down once you are in a more secure place.
No shame in halting debt pay down for a minute.

Hi!
I know I'm a bit late, but please could I still join? I have been trying to sort myself out this year and I'm determined to do pay it all off by my 30th birthday which is end of the year so this would tie in great and hold me accountable!
I've paid a fair chunk off this year so far, but my current official balance as of today is £7,126.98.

I Agree with Glittery.
I listen to Dave Ramsey, he is a bit full on sometimes, but he does these things called the baby steps.
Before you begin you need to make sure you are current on Utilites/Rent/Mortgage etc.
Look after the 4 walls, Food, electric/gas, rent/mortgage and fuel/ car payment/insurance(if you pay monthly)
Then Step 1 save an emergency fund of $1000 (I think this is too much but save a small amount that makes you feel comfortable)
Step 2 pay down any spare money at the debts.
Step 3 3-6 months emergency fund.
There are more steps but they come after.PAYDBX 2020 - #01 Pd £15,029.29 / £13,140.66 - 114% 🎉

Everyone is doing a fab job paying down their debts. No matter how big or small the payments, just remember you ARE getting closer to debt freedom.
I do subscribe to some of your threads (I don't always post) but I do read the struggles and strains some of you go through. Every payment post I see puts a smile on my face. :)PAYDBX 2020 - #01 Pd £15,029.29 / £13,140.66 - 114% 🎉

Totally understand.
Not sure if you saw me in any other challenges, but I have been trying to pay my debt down a couple of years. Started off with 7kish and then this time 12,800
There was always some disaster that meant I ended up borrowing more, car crashed (no insurance pay out), lost my job twice, vets bills, and was also on a low income for a good two years.
Before I came back onto this challenge I scrapped together £500 to put into a savings account (that was tough, I'm a natural spender not saver).
Funnily enough since having that buffer, nothing has gone wrong.
It's like the law of sod, if you don't have it, something always goes blimming wrong.
Anyway, I don't mean to ramble on and make it about myself.
Just trying to tell you that it's not hopeless, and you will be able to do this.2017 [STRIKE]48000[/STRIKE]
