Dropping in for a pint ,
I've just paid off my first £5k.... which makes me feel happy.
Only another £45k to go ........ which still overwhelms me.... it'll take 4 and a half years at this rate.

Am I right to be going this alone, and not even spoke to stepchange etc? I'll give it another 6 months and see.

Have you checked the snowball calculator? We took the DMP route with Payplan and although they were great and helped a lot in shifting majority of our debt, we wish we had known about the snowball calculator before we did the DMP with Payplan. With patience and determination, you can get there. Plenty of inspirational stories here on the forum to keep you motivated. Lots of helpful tips too.

Hello lovely Inn-ers! I've just found the thread (Thanks Bob!) and thought I'd drop in as I'm super excited to have hit two milestones as of this morning - Paid off my Very account and reached 25% total debt paid off! Still a long way to go but all these small targets and milestones help me massively!!

Reading through the last few pages has spurred me on again, next target I'm coming for you!!

    Morning!

I was decanting last year's blackberry gin and vodka in to bottles last night, to free up the jars for this year's berryboozebonanza, so, of course, my thoughts turned to the Milestone Inn.

I meant to update at the time, but the tiniest of sampling seemed to render me incapable of remembering my MSE password!

BUT, for the past 7 days I have had less than £500 debt left!! Also, and no less exciting, husband is the same with two months left on his DMP.

We've been married for two years now and have kept back a bottle of bubbly from the wedding for our joint DFD which should be 1st November! EEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! :j:j:j
