For dinner we had HM Cheese & Tomato Quiche with oven fries - FF + salad - grated carrot/celery/cucumber/lettuce/pepper/red onion/tomato - dressed with Red Wine Vinegar.
The Quiche was delicious - I added some mustard powder and garlic granules in with the eggs/milk. Bought Quiches just do not compare.
I saw baked pastry cases in Asd. the other day - 80p.
We are out of potatoes at the moment.
I still have some HM Shortcrust Pastry in the fridge. I will use it tomorrow - still suffering from an abundance of eggs. I am thinking Bacon/Egg Quiches this time.

That looks lush Florenceem!
Can I join in this month too please? Put me in for £35 this month - It's only for me and I'm using stuff up.
I need to start getting really smart as I'm gearing up to go back to uni to do nursing. Finally. :j"We always find something, hey Didi, to give us the impression we exist?" Samuel Beckett, Waiting for Godot.

Oh also, I've spent £13 already - getting in some chicken, veg, bread and fruit. That should see me through this week."We always find something, hey Didi, to give us the impression we exist?" Samuel Beckett, Waiting for Godot.

£250 for me please.
Not finished with July yet, and think I may go a bit over in that one, £20'ish left for 9 days, but its got to be better than the £500 I spent in June:mad:.
Just writing it down makes it better, along with the fab tips and support from you OS'ers:D
Good luck all xNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Still in July til the 31st, really want to get back down to £300; but just don't think it is do-able with two kids off school. It will be constant breadmaking, treat stock up and meal planning. Already this month i am nearly up to £400 with the shopping and my eldest DD back for two weeks. My Dad has also been away so haven't had chance to frequent any cheapy shops. I'm going to have a think about what meals we can have and come back with a budget, and consider a possible stock up shop at AF if i can see anything worthwhileGC £150 a month for food, toiletries and cleaning Jan £134.58 Feb £137.18 Mar £103.76 as of 6/4/24Forever learning the art of frugality0

Can I try £150 for August please? We are taking in a niece for a week or more this month. She is a very fussy eater, and I am anticipating extra spends to keep her fed. I do like a challenge!
Still in July's budget for another week yet!Swagbucks Amazon gift vouchers 2014 125/250

That will include milk & nappies as well, but I have a reserve already. I need to learn now to put a signature.. How do I do that? Good luck everyone;);)August Grocery Challenge 250£/5weeks

I like mustard or mustard powder in cheese dishes too. It really seems to lift them. What does FF mean? Sorry to be thick but I have noticed it in a few of your posts and can't work it out.0 -
I'd love to join in this time too! August will be an expensive month as it's DH's and DD's birthdays in the same week, and we'll be going on our camping holiday... I'm gonna say £200 for grocery shopping, starting 29th July, but will have separate budgets for party food and holiday food (I suspect eating out a lot ) as I'm not yet sure what to budget for those...
