Hi please can I join. I have spent the last of my grocery budget on the weekend. I have ten pound left in my second purse. Really want to put what's left in the bank in the savings next week before we get paid again so want to try and live off what we have in. We do have plenty and I have made the most of the bargins and yellow stickered items this month. Still have lots of cupboard items and freezer food from beginning of the month when I stocked up at Aldi using their vouchers from the paper.

I made spaghetti bolonese last night. Fed me and the two kids ( hubby works away in the week) got one portion left over from it which I put In the freezer. Tonight making spicy chicken thighs with savoury rice & salad. Need to use the last of the lettuce before it goes bad. My youngest will have homemade chicken nuggets ( got tin of golden breadcrumbs) with savoury rice & salad. Really want to go next 9 days without any spends.

  • Sorry I've been away, busy week.

I have used a puff pastry sheet that I got yellow sticketed to make a pizza type thing which hubby loved (3 more rolls put in freezer) also used a beef, lamb and pork joint too.

Here you go - I used finely sliced pepper instead of ham - not a veggie but no ham in fridge.

Hi, Please can I join? Our spending has got a little out of control recently and we really can't continue like this :) We've got a lot in the freezer and pretty full store cupboards. The basics are sorted (washing powder, toilet roll etc) and we make our own bread so hopefully it's just a case of being creative!

In to freezer - bag of SR flour.
    Out of freezer - nothing.
We had HM Pie + roast potatoes + cabbage/carrot/onion for dinner.

    Welcome all you newbies :)

Flo glad your back! we needed colour on our thread and pics, I see you having been living the life of riley for the last week, Canap!s wine etc, bet it wasn't frugal, how the other half live aye? lol hope you enjoyed every bit of your hectic week. Are you making the sacks by hand or on a machine? how many have you now?

It's shopping day here, just realised the voucher mr s sent me were a bit of a con, £ off £15 spend for 2 weeks and then £2 off £20 spend for 2 weeks, only realised once I had scanned everything and swiped the coupon and it didn't work, back to waitrose I go! I did pay for the shopping though.

Had dinner at my grandmas and lunch out as I had college, hope your all well. :)

Is there still a grocery challenge board on here? It's been a while since I visited! Made bread last night and don't plan on buying anything today except maybe a 4pt milk from lidl for the littlest one. Veggie Stir fry tonight with noodles to use up the peppers, courgette and carrot in the fridge
