    On all Windows 10 PCs there is Windows Defender already installed, it is actually what I am using on here. It is prevented from turning on by the bloatwear AV included with the PC.

    Put into the search bar "defender" and it will come up in the menu. You need to turn Avast off and turn Defender on if you want to use it.

    I am here lurking in the background when I am home that is and read all the posts.

    Thanks for asking about me and mum.

    I am ok so is our Poppy :smileyhea

    Mum still in hospital and I am still visiting after work.

    She fractured C2 bone in her neck and been told she got to wear the neck cast for 12 weeks.

    Maybe able to go home Friday afternoon but that could change .

    DS bought it when he bought his new laptop and gave me details to install :D

    He BOUGHT an AV :eek::eek:

    I guess it is a matter of opinion, but I have always gone for AVG or Windows Defender, I have never bought an AV.

    What are you going to do when they want the subscription renewing?
