The number ebay give though the help pages is free- are you using a mobile to call them?

You need to keep on at them and point out their own rules and conditions, just go through the help pages for a link. However, you need to make sure your tracking is marked against the sale and not just in the appeal bit. (as has been said above)

If you want to give up with this and not bother contacting ebay then as has been said the debt collectors can only chase you until they get bored. However it means you, and anyone ebay believe is associated closely with you, can not use ebay again.

Hi, I'm new here, and I have an issue with eBay that I'd like some advice about if possible.
I sold an item back in April to a buyer in Australia, he paid me in full and the shipping was to be through eBay's global shipping programme.
So I sent the item to the UK global shipping centre for which I have proof of collection from myself and delivery to the global shipping centre.
Anyway that's the last I heard of the item for a few weeks, until my buyer started asking questions about where his item was...anyway through some contact I had with eBay at this stage I was told not to worry because once the item reaches the shipping centre its no longer my responsibility ..So I told my buyer to open a case and hopefully they will sort it out.
Well, they sorted it out by refunding my buyer...but now they want to take the money back from me!
The amount is £460, so as you can guess I'm not happy to pay this, so i cancelled my direct debit with them to stop this money being taken.
Now they keep sending emails asking for payment and saying if not paid it will be passed to a collection agency.
What powers do the collection agency have?
I've told eBay if they send me the item back I'll pay the money, but why should I pay the money and have no item!
    Any help would be appreciated.

I'm slightly confused as to where the item is now.

Has it been fully tracked and signed for to the delivery centre?

Has Ebay acknowledged it has been received by them?

What courier did you use to send to the delivery centre?

It may well be it was never received, even if tracking said it was. In which case it would be worth contacting the courier to double check.

Your problem is that it seems a lot of front line Ebay customer service reps. have never heard of Global Shipping and will not accept the onward tracking to Australia which is likely to be WNDirect?

I suggest you write a Final Letter Before Action to Ebay UK's address (yes they do have one, it's in London) - state your inbound tracking and your GSP program tracking - the 'Alfreton' tracking you will have is your key. Don't waste time trying to deal with incompetent, ill informed and poorly trained Ebay employees, you need this dealt with by UK staff who understand the system and their liability. Your tracking to the address is key, and the 'Alfreton' tracking is key to showing the GPS centre got it.

I've heard that these sort of issues need to be dealt with by a Global Shipping Specialist, but as it's likely anyone you talk to on the phone won't be able to deal with it and may not even have heard of it, and will not connect you to someone who knows what to do. The free number is very unlikely to put you through to anyone will any authority.

I'm also wondering where the item actually is?

It was sent using parcel2go via TNT

TNT say it was delivered and have sent me a copy of a signed POD

Parcel2go also state it was succesfully delivered.

Someone must have it? I'm even wondering if the buyer in Australia has it?

OK, I've now got the address for eBay UK, I'll send them a letter stating all the information that I have with copy's of any relevant information, such as proof of collection and delivery.
That's got to be my last chance!

I've been trying to get eBay to see sense for a couple of months now, but getting absolutely nowhere!
Its a shame as ive been a member for 11 years with 1100 feedbacks and 100%...but if that's how they treat people then so be it!

Did you see my post above? Does your Global Shipping Tracking number make a reference to 'Alfreton'? This is the customs processing stage, so if they started processing it, they clearly have the item.

Happy to help if you acknowledge my post..!

Not sure I have a global shipping tracking number? Where will I find this?
All I have is the parcel2go tracking number and the TNT tracking number.
