    Mummy-bear, hello

I like to read diaries of people with similar debt to mine, so I have subscribed. You're doing marvellously.

Don't be down about the car, just think, 2 months ago, that cost would have just been added to an increasing number. Now it has just slightly slowed down the shrinking number.

    Its all good.

    Thanks Paws for stopping by.

I see from your signature you've done some major debt busting since Jan. Well done.

I've already subscribed to your diary as I too like to follow those at similar debt. However when last I read it you were taking a diary break. Just popped over and glad to see your back :j

My plans for the day changed slightly when my mum invited me to open to an open day at the community gardens. It was free with a bouncy castles and brass band so thought why not. Well I've come away with pretty much securing 3 greenhouse allotment plots and 1 outside allotment plot for......
    £0
    .....
I can't believe it. Its a giant greenhouse with around 20 allotments inside . But they're not calling it an allotment instead they're growing beds and it's for the community for free. Only thing they ask is to donate produce for fundraisers and the like.

Can't wait to get cracking.the plots need weeding and clearing up but hopefully next year we'll have some good veggie crops :j:j:T

Great to teach children to respect money - we have been way to slack in this area and having to catch up with the whole looking after your money and other stuff generally.
    Well done.

    Hi mummy bear
Have stumbled across your diary and wanted to pipe in and say you have come so far already. As for your DH I have one very similar, not so much with gadgets and games mine just purely wastes money. He's coming round now a bit and gradually getting the hang of things. Men eh!

Good luck on your journey. Have subscribed and will be cheering you along

My intentions were great. My son's attention was not!!

A work in progress. But he had a grand total of £22.50 and yet to decide what he wants to do with it.

My DH has a bigger journey than me. There's been progress but he still needs work. He get's paid this week and there's money still in his account (albeit in the overdraft). That's a big deal!

I had a success with my Fitbit last week.

I've had it for about 18 months. Last September the strap snapped and I contacted fitbit customer services who kindly replaced it with no issues.

Fast forward to about 1 month ago and my new fitbit strap started bubbling and coming away from the screen. Contacted customer services with a photo. I was offered a replacement or 50% off a newer model. I've gone for the free option. My new fitbit arrived today :j .

Honestly they have the best customer service.

DH gets paid today. Not sure how much yet. I think over the next couple of days a lot of his payments come out. He had about 30 left in his account yesterday which he transferred into his savings. Proud of him for that.

Plan today is to revisit the community gardens and ensure I've secured the plots. I hope I've got them, can't wait to grow my own veggies

Considering we had to pay out almost £600 for the car I'm happy that we've still been able to reduce the debt. Still got a few things due out this month that should bring the total to around £500 paid off in July.

August will hopefully have NO unexpected payments
