Please count me in for this week, as I really need to get on top of the house.
Marvellous Monday Basics
Wipe the kitchen sides (just what you can see)
Clean the kitchen sink, slosh some soda crystals and hotwater down
Hoover and mop the floor
Reception Room (Living Room/Dining Room/Conservatory) Declutter
Today's aim is to deal with everything you can see without opening drawers/cupboards, or looking behind sofas.
Imagine how you would like the room to be at the end of the week.
Start by putting all rubbish and recycling in the bins outside of the room.
Take any cups, plates etc (along with stray bottles of tomato sauce) into the kitchen for washing.
Recycle any newspapers, magazines etc which are laying around, will you really get around to reading them?
Rehome anything which does not belong in this room to its correct place (if it doesn't have a home then this is part of your problem, you need to find it one or question if you really need it - small children not included).
The first 30 minutes is usually the most successful so get off to a good start and then have a break or your ability to make decisions will decrease.
So if the floor now clear? If not carry on for as long as you can.
Have a quick hoover around the middle of the room (we'll move the furniture later in the week.

Morning everyone
Thanks Dusty. I am going to do some normal flying this week as my living room has been recently redecorated and is now the tidiest room in the house. Its going to be a busy week though, docs appt for DS1 this aft, extra hours at work tomorrow, voluntary work on Thursday - on top of the normal paid stuff.
Hope your little one is OK Pigpen.
Oh I dont want to be bothered this morning, need to get moving and get ready for work.0 -
I am in this week, please, thank you.
AF was here last week and although I didn't do too bad once I got going I had zero motivation to get started!0 -
Morning flyladies
I'm in this week, I have two hours at the paid stuff this morning; I usually have Mondays "off" but I missed a customer last weds as she and her husband were on holiday, they were having the HSL redecorated and they'd left their (filthy, dirty, minging) 20ish year old daughter home alone. I dread to think of the state the place will be in But I'll get stuck into the lounge when I get back.
I need to have a think about DVD storage, we have an ugly but useful sideboard which houses A LOT but it's started to overflow. I need to find a way to keep DH out of Hed of a lunchtime!
Hope all are well xx0
