    So what can I do now? How long does it stay on there for?

    Six years it would seem...
    It changed from 13 months to 6 years a couple of years ago.

    I have been into Barclays they said I have to contact customer service and when I did they keep saying the account it’s closed and they can’t help me in further. Me contacting Barclays about the issue it’s pointless

    The ombudsman is almost certain to say that it is a decision for Barclays and they won't get involved.

    Looking at it from Barclays perspective the little info we have gleaned doesn't put you in a good position. You received several amounts in error - there's no mention of you returning them or pointing out the error - now you're trying to say you didn't know it was wrong. I'm sorry but I think you need to swallow the CIFAS and move on.

    Rather pointless. You are simply wasting peoples valuable time. The marker will remain . Given the circumstances under which it was issued. That's life.
