  • Well we are back to grey skies here, I knew it wouldn't last!

Not much to report financials wise today - no extra cash in but no spending either. Just catching up with admin, re-sorted the freezer and adjusted our meal plan accordingly.

Any else very excited for it to be February?!

  • I have just re-read my last post - what a grump I sound! A big re-injection of positivity needed! So...

    :) £200 OP made
:) Spending diary set up online to kick in for February - I am going to track every single penny in February, in the hope that we can spare £300 from the housekeeping fund for an OP
:) Spring isn't far away now
:) I am going to go and list a few bits on ebay

    That's more like it! x

    Morning :)

Gosh my diary is 2 years old next week - looking forward to updating my signature then and recapping on our journey :T

Today will be a NSD - dinner of pork chops, croquette potatoes & assortment of veg, all of which we currently have in stocks. I'll also get 3 items on eBay, and do some work for DH.

Keep on keeping on fellow MFWers, keep the end goal in sight :)

ETA - I've decided to go sugar free for February, I need to lose at least a stone and could do with eating a lot less sugar in general. Wish me luck!

  • Wow 2 years! I've been impressed I've kept one going for a week :rotfl:

Keep it going please, I find it inspiring to read that other people are trying to do the same things as us, albeit much more quickly!!

Well done on making 2 years ATB! Was going to say that deserves a treat but if you're going to have a go at going sugar free a cake or something along those lines wouldn't be the best idea! Lol! Good luck with the sugar free diet! Do you watch the sugar free farm on itv? Very interesting watch!

I second facelessnumber, keep up the good work! x

  • Thank you for stopping by.

I try to post daily, even if I don't have anything exciting to say :rotfl: if I didn't, my motivation would wane fairly quickly. I can assure you, the two years have flown by and it feels lovely to have made good progress, although I do think we could have done much better.

It is persisting it down here, but it's the last day of January :j

  • I appear to be on a one woman mission to rid the house of all sugar-stuffed goodies before tomorrow - and now feel a bit sick :o

  • Five items listed on eBay which would net us over £100 if they all sell (listed as Buy It Nows).

Normal monthly payment goes out tomorrow which will see a capital reduction of around £325 :) not only is tomorrow 1st February, but it's 3 weeks tomorrow until my Reiki session, not that I'm super excited or anything :o

Feeling very very tired, this weather really is the pits. When I'm MF I'll spend all of January in the Caribbean!

  • It's February, and we are nudging ever closer to Spring, hurrah :j

Normal mortgage payment has gone out today, so once online banking catches up tomorrow I will know what our balance is. I sense a Tilly Tidy coming on ;)

Need to pop to A$da today for some beer for DH, which will be duly noted in the spending diary. Fajitas for tea, and we already have all the components in :)

We have decided to pay someone to do some much needed work in our garden. It's back breaking stuff, and out the front so not safe for us to do with the kiddies here (we live on a busy-ish road). It's £180 I could have OPd, but the difference it will make to the kerb appeal of our house will be extraordinary. And after all, we have to live a little on the way, right? x

Definitely agree about paying someone to do the work - you have have to weigh up the balance between paying for stuff and the misery of doing it yourself - in this case it definitely sounds like paying is the way to go!
