Work are actually being very good and are paying for train tickets I'm not sure if I should go, but I'll be fine by then, just unable to fly.

Well I've been thinking long and hard about my list. I'm a planner and a worrier so I'd sort of moved the debt repayments into mortgage overpayments in my head, but DH gets cross with me saying that we need to live a little too . When I think about it, he is right. I could spend the next 10 years scrimping and scraping to pay the mortgage off & by that time the kids will be all grown up. So....

1. Get a cleaner!
2. Increase my pension contributions to the max that my employer will match. (only 2% more but ticks my planning box)
3. Have more fun with my family (days out/ meals out etc)
4. Take the kids to Paris, Rome etc before they get too old.
5. Save up enough to go on a family West coast USA tour next summer. (Vegas/ LA/Sanfransisco/Yosemite/Grand Canyon/Hoover dam/Disney )
6. Say yes to social invitations without hesitating about the cost.
7. Double the overpayments on our mortgage.
8. Replace the fencing in the back garden and get new stair carpet.
9. Open an ISA and LEAVE the money there!
10. Never get into so much debt again.

I'm loving other peoples lists - thanks for sharing and well done on everyones payments.

Ok totally non debt related but have to say im LOVING my new ipad (she types on the laptop :rotfl:) decided I really do need to get back into crafting as I now have 6 different projects ive come up with (during the 3 - 4 hrs I lay in bed unable to sleep each night) so today I got the sewing machine out and brought up a website I found for a lovely little drawstring bag, copied the web address into the ipad and took it with me into the kitchen :j :j was lovely not to have to print out the instructions (and pictures) or try and work on the sewing machine in the living room. I could zoom in on the pictures to make sure I was following the blogger properly and everything

OK im really knackered after making just one as it was 3 hrs and its a rough go (so some nice mismatched ribbon and fabric going on and not the straightest lines when it came to the drawstring encasing) but im still happy with it and have filled it with bars of chocolate as a selection sack (instead of a selection box, geddit? :rotfl: :rotfl:) sorry I have a really bad sense of humour

Dh's got to love them, I learnt a long time ago when DH says 'we have to cut back' he really means I have to cut back . . . I find a lot of shouting and a big frying pan work wonders in these situations, if you havent got a big enough one, let me know and i'll lend you my supersized wok :rotfl:

Jakes-mum if you do ever wallop your DH with the frying pan please video it and send it to my DD! Her favourite part of Tangled is when Rapunzel hits Eugene with a frying pan! This is her :rotfl:

Nothing money wise to report. I really need to pull my finger out and start kicking is debt's butt. Since Jemma's HUGE update (thank you Jemma -don't quite know how you manage it!) I realised that I have only paid off 35% and half way through the year that isn't really a good pace to be to reach my DF target. I am kinda struggling at the minute being on SMP. I need to go back to work to start earning decent money again but I can't actually face going back there. I think I need to start new job hunting properly. I just feel sad about leaving my baby with someone else while I work I will get over it. I did with DD so I will this time.

Can someone give me a really big kick up the backside please?
