Another returner to the MFW diaries here - congratulations on the life changes xMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -

:wave:They are doing great, thank you. Just started pre-school last week actually, so I have a bit more time on my hands
I still have a diary on here and try to update it fairly regularly.
So....come on then...what's the big plan to pay off this mortgage? Don't tell me there's not a plan...you always have a planMortgage - £105,5000 -
Hello lovelies
Had a very nice weekend, albeit tiring. Fortunately, Monday means both children are out (school and pre-school), so I have spent all morning cleaning, doing laundry and doing a money shuffle. Oh, and meal planning for the week
PrincessLou - yep, there is always a plan It a nutshell, it is to make my pennies streeeetch until they squeak to make sure we can find the £750 needed per month to clear the mortgage in 9 years. I have managed £605 so far, and may be able to OP more later in the week - I just need to assess how much we need to spend on food (hopefully not much) and fuel (hopefully nothing if I can convince the kids to walk to and from school!)
Time for some lunch now - update soon xxMFW

Productive day so far:
- stuck to meal plan and ensured the rest of the week is planned carefully - all I need to buy is some cold meats for DH lunch
- laundry on the line
- Tilly tidy of £85.67 sent to the mortgage - very close to this month's £750 OP goal.
- Bought my mum's birthday card and pressie using proceeds of eBay sales :T
DS is full of cold bless him, so I was up a lot in the night wiping his nose, dispensing calpol and administering cuddles. A little bleary eyed as a consequence!
Hope everyone is well xMFW

Another OP made so we have surpassed this month's OP target with a week still to go
Hope I can keep this momentum going. The mini goal is to be in the 30s by Christmas xxMFW

Managed to make a bumper OP of £601 today, hurrah! So we are well on our way with October's target already
Hoping for a week of NSDs, starting tomorrow, wish me luck! xxMFW

Morning all
Mortgage stands at £141,999 today. Can't wait to be in the 30s, our mortgage has never been in the 30s so it will be a huge achievement!
I have a question and a shameless request for some of our MF pals to help me out - how did you keep motivated? When MF-dom seemed such a long way off, how did you keep going? On days like this, when all I can do is a £9 Tilly-tidy, and I am staring at 6 figures on my online banking, I wonder how on earth we will ever get there. Any wise words greatly appreciated xxMFW

Hi ATB
I have a burning question I hope you don't mind me asking...
How on earth do you manage to make such massive overpayments? Do you massively over budget for things and then collect that money together?
