The sheet was actually really good, really helped with moving around in bed so if anyone is struggling or does later on I'd totally recommend it! I am going to pop to the fabric shop later to see if I can find what I *think* I'll need to make a prettier, less noisy, version! I mentioned it to my friend who's little boy is 15 months & she said she could still do with something like that so if it works I'll make her one too!

He was measuring at 7lb 11oz yesterday (at 36+3) and they expect him to put on another pound or two in the fortnight before delivery. I fear I may never walk normally again... He was 92nd percentile yesterday, and they only act at the 95th, so we'll have another check next week to ensure he's not gone overboard on the guzzling.

Hoping they may well be going on bone structure and calculating from that though - "little" dude has his father's nose (poor boy!) so maybe he's got his height and slim build too. Hey, whatever little lies I need to tell myself, right?! ;)

Timeflies - Huge congrats! Sorry to hear you didn't have an easy labout. Hope you are home and enjoying your (not so little :D) princess!!

Bubblepops - how did your appointment go? Hope the snow hasn't been to much of anightmare for you

Fuzzipeg - Hope baby has finished with his growth spurt! Altho, i have been told that all babies do in thr last few weeks is continue to fatten up!

Missy - I'm 31 weeks tomorrow  and considering ds1 came at 35 weeks, i should either be a bit more prepared or a bit more panicked and i am currently neither!! Altho i did make my first purchse this week - WIPES!! From Amazon as they were on offer (box of 12 Johnsons for £7.50ish if anyones's interested). And not before time, 3 years after having ds1, i've literally using my last pack of wipes this week!! :rotfl: Glad your docs appointment wasn't anything to worry about.

Sulphate - i've just gone for the bog standard NHS antenatel class, can't really afford the NCT ones and i kinda think i've done it before and it was all fine so hopefully this one will go the same as last time Altho i hope he waits until i have at least a few bits sorted! Sorry to hear your work is pants, but you're on the home straight!! Hang on in there!

Princess K - you have intrigued me with your sliding sheet! I'm imagining a shower curtain type contraption which allows you to slip and slide about :rotfl:Sounds very tempting tho as moving around at night is becoing more and more difficult. Not helped by a cat who insists on either sleeping between my legs or pressed right up against me and refuses to move no matter what i do!

Auntie P - i'm so sorry to hear you are struggling, on top of your mum being poorly as well, it can't be easy for you. Glad you are seeking help, keep talking to those around you.

I finally bit the bullet and and have booked in for my whooping cough jab tomorrow, fingers x'd for no nasty reactions and no delay at the docs so i can make it to work on time!!

fuzzipeg if I remember rightly, a lot of people have had scary weight predictions, then the reality has been completely different? Not saying for sure, obviously, but it may be a little comfort? (For what it's worth!) I love the nonchalant way they say 'a pound or two' there's a lot of bloody difference there for you considering their point of entry/exit!!

princesskate I may have to go and look at my stash, see if I can knock something similar up, although that would mean forgoing my new nightly hobby of giving the snoring OH a swift 'accidental' jab of the elbow when I'm trying to get comfy :D

always :rotfl: at your not prepared and not panicking about it!! I dunno why but it made me chuckle-it'll come good in the end, as long as bubs has you, everything else will fall into place (except maybe nappies-that one I may prioritise :D )

For anyone that's interested, I think Aldi have a baby event starting next Thursday?

AFM-appt today went well. He was a specialist nurse, not a psych, so I immediately felt calmer. We chatted for a good hour and half, and decided to stick with no meds, as the heavy duty ones I really need are unsafe in pregnancy. He thinks my suspected bipolar is making an appearance, and I'm in danger of becoming manic (think nesting, but on steroids/speed!!) so we discussed some strategies, and looked at how I can improve things short term as much as possible. Also been told again to slow down, so will try to work on that.

He's going to talk to the hospital and push for birthing centre, citing my anxiety and current 'wibblywobblyness'. Also going to book in another visit from my maternity CPN.

Had a good chat with OH, and we've figured out I feel quite proud of myself for today, which is a first, and a big step, so it's been quite a positive day. I've also bought the rest of the things needed for hospital bag.

Oh-The snow was quite bad, but put my wellies on, and did some mindful snow kicking-it was fun!!:D

 sorry about the essay-didn't mean to!!

    Hugs to everyone xxx

28 weeks bloods and gtt test done today, get the results on weds so fingers crossed I don't have gd as we get married next Friday and I want to eat my cake! :-) nearly passed out after first lot of bloods tho and had to be kept under obs for a while to make sure they were ok to carry on with second lot after 2 hours! So glad to be home and eating! We've decided to buy the pushchair from our friends, they want £60 and in the condition it's in to buy it from anywhere else we'd be looking at £200 easy and £500 brand new so it makes sense, plus the money were saving (or rather my dad is saving!) will go towards cot now and bedding etc instead :) so another few things off the list. Home stretch now :) 12 weeks left till d day and starting to feel a little bit scared, overwhelmed and very very underprepared but hopefully once I've got my next midwife apt out the way and the babies room and hospital bags are sorted il,feel a bit better. Hope, everyone is well :) xxx

Glad your appointment well today Bubblepops and you're feeling more positive and optimistic, hopefully it continues :)

Thanks for the tip about Aldi, I've just checked and its in store from Thurs 29th Jan. Here's a link so you can see what is on offer - https://www.aldi.co.uk/en/specialbuys/thur-29-jan/ Think we may go for the safety gate as we need to start moving the dog out of our room gradually and get her used to being in the hallway, rather than at the side of our bed and then ending up on our bed! :p We even bought her a new fluffy bed today and she's not got out of it yet, so hopefully the transition will be an easy one... feel sorry for having to chuck her out though :o

Fingers crossed for your results Trixsie, although even if you do have gd (which I hope you don't!) but surely a bit of cake on your wedding won't hurt!? Once you've got married it will then be full-on baby countdown!

Always - how did your wc jab go today? Hopefully not like my blood test, I've still got three, yes three, big bruises still on my arm a week and two days later! No idea how she managed that! :rotfl: about the babywipes stash! I actually bought a massive box in the last Aldi baby event but am tempted to look on Amazon, I always forget to look there.

fuzzipeg - a pound or two... quite a difference there! Hopefully he's not bulked up too much for you :p My cousin had a 10lb baby just this week, and whilst he looks adorable and chunky I really feel for her having to deliver him! Still not sure if it was a vb or cs though as I've not spoken to her, but big babies clearly run in our family so I'm getting more nervous now too :o

I've got my GTT next tuesday & I'm dreading it a bit, I really worried I'll be sick after not eating for so long, sounds silly but I wake so many times in the night that by morning, if not before I'm starving!

Re wipes, the asda baby event has 12 packs of pampers or buggies pure wipes for just under £8. I've bought yet another box....I have an actual nappy/wipes mountain in my spare room now! Don't think trees anything I need form the Aldi event, apparently morrisons have a baby event on too.

I popped into own today to try & get some bits for my hospital bag, mainly nighties, dressing gown and big pants! I popped to primark & randomly in their tiny maternity section they had 3 different maternity nighties for £6 each, I also picked up 3 maternity/nursing vest tops for £4 each, a lightweight short dressing gown and some massive, dark pants! I did well for £35!

Amazingly, the decorator came today and the wallpaper is now up int he nursery! Yay! The paint needs another coat so hubby is going to do that on the weekend. It's looking fab but I can't wait to see it all done wight he furniture in!

I tried out my version of the sliding sheet for bed I made yesterday, worked pretty well & was much less noisy than the nhs issued paper version! I just used a metre of satin dress lining which cost £2.50! Bargain!

trixsie-the pushchair sounds like a great deal! And bedding seems to be so expensive (or maybe I'm just tight?) that any extra will help! Ps-I would totally eat some of my cake, regardless!!

Thanks missie-I'm still digesting it I think, but it's definitely made me think.
Eeesh to the 10lb-er. Hope you've had a serious word with baby, and told them to knock any of those thoughts on the head!!

princess Kate I found that hunger mixed with the heat of the hospital made me feel a bit sick, so if you can, I'd recommend layers so that you don't get too hot. That seemed to help me.
Great news on the wallpaper!! And yay to the hospital bag stuff, wish my primani had a maternity bit, I've just bought their biggest sizes and hoped for the best!!

I was washing some things for my hospital bag today, and realised my mahoooosive pants were actually bigger than the babygro's!!

Trying to calm down on the doing stuff-not so great, the bestie came for tea, and it was like I was feeding the five thousand, home made bread, biscuits, pudding, and the table was rammed, there was only three of us!!

    Must slow down! :rotfl:

    Hugs to all xx
