  • Yup AFK :rotfl: I did actually buy a couple of stocking fillers for my nephews (branded sticker books) so I'm definitely winning at life :rotfl:

Messing about with the OP calculator. If I could OP by £2k a month we would be mortgage free in 3.5 years :think::whistle:

*wanders off to check budget spreadsheet*

  • Good Morning All,

Tilly tidy done of a whole 98p. Looking forward to getting on the phone today and doing some money admin. I need to put some fuel in the car and nip to the post office but other than that it's a very low spend day.

I also applied for a Nectar credit card - 0% for 27 months and Nectar points on purchases. I was accepted with a manageable limit of £1200, so I am going to use that for necessary purchases such as fuel over the coming months. I feel confident with my discipline levels that we won't go silly with it and we can use the equivalent money to stash in the OP pot.

    Back later x

  • Had a really rubbish day yesterday, hence the lack of posting. Still not feeling great today so I am being kind to myself.

Despite general rubbishness I did however set up a standard monthly OP of £300, so that was pleasing. Off to see if I have any pennies to Tilly Tidy.

    Have lovely days all x

  • £1.22 OP made - that's money the bank can never charge me interest on again :)

DS is shooting up like a weed though, he needs a snowsuit and some other bits - I am hoping ebay or the like comes up trumps for us x

Fb selling pages cash be good for children's clothes. We have some generous friends with children a little older than ours who have passed things down so we just then buy the bits we need. Dd at the stage of needing different footwear though so I'm on 3bay! Mine have big feet so don't acquire any hand me downs as theyre bigger than the older kids!
