I have been claiming student discount against my council tax with no problems. My eldest son has now finished university and has returned home to live but has been unable to find a job so is claiming Job Seekers Allowance, I am claiming Income Support. I still have two children in University. The council are now telling me I am no longer eligible for any reduction on my council tax bill and will have to pay the full amount. How am I meant to afford to do this when there are no wages coming into the property.

If you're on income support and it's your house/tenancy then you should be getting full council tax benefit.0

Hello tricki4
If as you say you are in receipt of Income support then you will get full council tax and housing benefit. However if you have people living in the property with you and they are not legally dependent on you ( you do not receive child benefit for them) then a "non - dependant deduction" will be taken from your entitlement. The amount that your benefit is reduced by varies according to the income of the non dependant.https://www.turn2us.org.uk will give you more information but if you have children living with you then they should be paying towards the rent and council tax bills otherwise you will be liable.“Official CAB Representative

OP, are you sure you are getting income support?
Assuming your son is claiming income based JSA, and the other two are full time students, no deduction from your council tax benefit should be made and as I said before you should be getting full council tax benefit. http://www.dwp.gov.uk/publications/specialist-guides/technical-guidance/rr2-a-guide-to-housing-benefit/what-you-can-claim-for/non-dependants/
Maybe head along to your local CAB with your benefit award letter and the council tax demand and ask them to have a look at it.0
