I am living in Germany and intend to move to the UK for my work.Germany and UK have different tax calendars. In Germany it runs from Jan to Dec and in the UK ir runs from April to March.

I will be moving on the 1st of Dec and will pay tax in germany including the salary in the UK for the financial year 2005.

However, the salary that i earn in the UK for Jan, Feb and March, will that be taxable in Uk as i would have stayed in the Uk for less than six months .In germany there is a rule that you donot need to pay taxes here if a person resides in Germany for less than six months.

Have been trying to get some info on this but can't find it on the net.

    Thanks
