Yes epic is a browser. Not as good as full vpn encryption, but probably about the same as other chrome add-ons. All depends on performance, price and encryption you want. The dream is loads of fast bandwidth, fully encrypted for £0, but at some point you wake up and smell the coffee0

I recommend to subscribing for nordVPN, as I’ve been using it for a long time, and haven’t faced any problems. Actually I used it for watching Netflix when I was abroad, and it really worked. Besides, the speed is always great. Probably the price is rather high, but it is worth it.
It's extremely important to select a VPN provider which enjoys confidence of all its customers. But I’d like also to focus you on such features as the number of servers and their locations, the speed connection, the type of encryption, the users’ feedback. What is more, there are dozens of websites (such as bestvpnrating.com) which specialize in VPNs and ready to offer the best one for you.0 -
There is no silver-bullet here. I've used multiple vpns across the years. I started out with hss and then switched between hss and hola, you know, because they were free. they wereenough to get the job done. now, i'm mostly on ivacy and nord. they're affordable and decent with no logs. this log-policy does mean a lot to me, but i guess every guy's definition of the "right" may differ, so yeah, google will help you a lot in your quest.0

Agree but don't think 60p/week is extortionate. Not many top rated VPNs cheaper if any0 -
If Nord feel need to spam here clearly they are best avoided.0

Any suggestions for a free VPN gratefully accepted.
Do you not understand what a VPN is?
When you connect to a VPN, your computer, your network effectivly becomes a part of that VPN network, your network offers up all of your network shared folders for anyone to see.
A good paid for VPN will keep users isolated from each other and won't poke into your shared files. A free VPN has to make money somehow.......“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Crikey! I didn't know that! (I've never used a VPN myself.)
How can home VPN users protect themselves from sharing personal files unwittingly? Would a firewall protect users, or do you just have to trust the VPN provider not to be nosy?
Also, would ISPs also be able to access shared folders?
Is there a protocol you could disable temporarily to prevent any sharing over the LAN/VPN, whilst still allowing internet traffic?
(Sorry if these are basic/silly questions )0 -
I use PIA. Fairly cheap compared to most and you can connect to 25 countries. No throttling. No logs (Beyond the absolute basics to get keep you running). Good speed (Obviously dependent on what you have anyway):idea:0

I was using Cyberghost (got a year for £11), however, for the last couple of weeks it's not working.
It connects then I get no internet connections at all (servers not reached) I've tried open DNS, google DNS. I've flushed the DNS cache. I've tried an online MS fix without success. I've unistalled and installed three times.
Turned off Firewall and anti virus (Kaspersky) with no joy. Also disabled iPv6...
Before all this everything was working perfectly and really fast.
I downloaded Tunnel Bear to try with exactly the same results, so I'm presuming something in my system is at fault.
ZenMate works within the browser...
Anyone any ideas.....Not really into all this, I just like things to do what they say with little interference from the weakest link.....Me...!Drinking Rum before 10am makes you
