  • Thanks Honeymonster :)

Just to let people know aswell me & Honeymonster if you need any questions and advice we will be happy to be able to help,

For the arena's; you can sometimes get a FREE carer in with you,

I have epilepsy and i got a free carer in to see Michael Mcintyre so best try it :)

Some Theatres give you a free carer too, but i'd leave it to Honeymonster to deal with it.

    Cheers

    Neil
  • Hi Neil,

Just to add to your earlier post, The O2 Arena a free carer ticket for events however you need to book early as they have limited avaliablity of disabled tickets. The Royal Albert Hall also offers a free carer ticket for every event or for the Proms (July-September) half price tickets. Again this can be limited but depends on the promoter.

Wembley Arena also offers the same free carer for all events.

For theatre shows it varies from show to show, Jersey Boys and Mama Mia are £20 for example, The Book of Mormon is £37.50. Again you can get this price for you and a carer. For shows in Really Useful/Nimax Theatres see this page for prices: http://www.seetickets.com/CONTENT/See-Access

Ambassador Theatre Group vary their prices, if you need a carer its generally you will get a carer ticket free, if you can go on your own then you will get a discount on your ticket.

The Globe Theatre 0207 401 9919 offer half price for the disabled person and a carer. The Barbican also do the same.

Regents Park open air theatre charge the lowest possible price for there shows.

I'm not sure on other arenas in the country but they probably have similar arrangments.

    Hope this helps

    Honeymonster.
  • Thanks again Honey, just trying to give people a bit of advice to save money :)

  • As a carer we don't tend to get out ... however have an annual outing to the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Cost of the ticket is something like 22 pounds and carers are free - FREE is a good price.

The Edinburgh Playhouse also has highly discounted tickets for those who have limited sight - the seating is in the third row from the front and a fraction of the price of a full-price ticket. Also worth looking into for a wee well deserved night out.
  • Thank you for that information :) x
  • Hey, the number quoted for The O2 Arena is incorrect it's actually 02084633359 - Thanks!
  • Thank you 02 angel

When booking disabled/access tickets how 'disabled' do you have to be? My mum is registered disabled and has a blue badge, she is not in a wheelchair though. She finds stairs very tiring, and they take ages. If you book disabled tickets are you able to avoid stairs/use a lift?
