Anyone had problems logging into crowd flower (for tasks) today ? All day, after following the "log in / sign up" link, I've just got a page with a red "We're sorry, but something went wrong.". I assumed it was just something transient which would have been sorted out by now.

Usually use surveymad for tasks, but I get the same via swagbucks.

It seems to be working OK for me in Swagbucks

On the crowdflower forum, only one or two other compliants, so I guess it's not a global problem. Seems that if I shun the "log in / sign up" link, and press the login button at the top-right instead, it prompts for a user/password, but then then says I'm already logged in. Odd, but at least now I can go back round and proceed with a task. Pleasantly surprised to see there's still a couple of casino tasks left :-)

Do certain searchs get you points then? I thought it was just random. I got 20 points for searching Pram ..but that was yesterday. I just got 4 for searching Ruby or whatever it was the code that doesn't work now lol.

Its quite annoying that in the back of your head (I cant be the only one) your worried that if you do something wrong they will close your account.

I'd quite like to save up for the £100 cash but I don't think I could leave all my points up like that as I'm sure it will take me a while!
People don't know what they want until you show them.

Swagbucks usually give out blocks of search wins three or four times a day at random times. The search wins are completely random in that you could get a win for a search now but it doesn't mean to say that I will get a win at the same time. Also, if you win, say, 20sb for searching 'pram', it doesn't mean that I would get the same amount of sb for the same search term. However, we have found that quite often if one person wins for a particular search term, then others do as well, albeit the exact search may be slightly different. So you could search for 'pram' and win, and I could search for the same word and win nothing, but it could be that if I search for 'what is the origin of perambulator' then I may win. We've also found that 'rude' terms quite often result in wins - no idea why.

I agree that it is worrying when you hear about people having their accounts deactivated for no apparent reason, and this is why I very rarely do SBTV. With regard to searches, I think that provided you don't keep searching over and over you should be OK. What I do is to key in a search term, then click on a link, wait a minute or so, go back to the search and go to page 2 and click on another link. I do this for 4, sometimes 5 search pages and if I haven't won anything I leave it a couple of minutes and try another search. I then go through the above procedure again and if I still haven't won anything I leave it for an hour or so. If you use the search engine as you would google in everyday life, then there should be nothing to worry about. The reason why people get deactivated for searching is if they just use the search to try and win swagbucks or use the search unnaturally. This is from the 'Do's and Don'ts':-

    Do -

Use Swagbucks.com any time you need to search the web
Download the Swagbucks.com toolbar for instant access
Search on Swagbucks.com exactly the way you would on any other search website
Utilize our image, web, news, and comparison shopping feeds

    Don't -

Search the web only to win Swag Bucks
Click on any links that you aren't genuinely interested in
Use any bot or program that auto searches for you

I usually find that it's often better to search for a phrase rather than a single word so, again, using the 'pram' search as an example, rather than just searching for that one word, I would search for something like 'do Mothercare sell prams?' or 'where can I buy a pram in Blackpool?'

I only ever save up for £25 Amazon vouchers at the most. A £25 voucher is 4199sb, whereas a £100 voucher is 16749sb. So you are only saving 47sb by going for the £100 voucher. I personally would rather have the £25 safe in my Amazon account. I also find it's quite motivating to go for the next £25 voucher. Similarly, you are only saving 46sb by saving for the £25 one rather than getting 5 x £5.

    Hope the above helps :)

I don't use Swagbucks tasks, but it's working fine in Gifthunterclub for me.
