  • I went to the specialist for nervous patients. It cost a lot and increased my fear of dealing with the dentist without sedation, gas and air, twilight sleep, etc. I now have a very competent dentist who works with only local anaesthetic. It's so much better.

  • Absolutely FUMING!

Came home from a lovely night away at a lovely hotel.........to find my bank account had two charges on it I can't explain.

    39.90 (18th)
    39.91. (16th)

Phoned Amazon, they couldn't find the charges, they do not originate with them and could offer no insight as to how they happened.

Phoned the Bank........to the bank they look legit, so I have to phone the debit card disputes team on Monday, they only work Mon - Fri 9 -5 (who the f does that these days)

    I am SO ANGRY.

    !!!!ers.

Me too........I cancelled the card and switched back to paying with a credit card which has a much better fraud prevention set up ( Well I think so anyway!)

I seem to have a letter from HMRC, saying i am owed money - almost 3000 pounds, which is nice if it true.... My ISA "matures" on the 4 of October at which point I will shut it and rethink what to do with my cash. The ISA currently pays 0.8 % and will pay .25% after Oct. I might start another ISA in April but until then I will put some in to other investments and accounts (Tes'os, TS bee etc) and some more peer to peer lending. I might even pay the CC early..........I don't know. I must say these are all very good problems to have. Weird, but good.

Hi Buffy, happy new diary! I have subbed :)

I too want to start running, although unlike you i've never done it before!
  • I wasn't very good at running ;)

I went to the tip with a load............hurt my back! Part of the day was then spent asleep due to backache (!) I kid you not, I went upstairs to do some yoga stretches and the next thing I knew it was four oclock in the afternoon.

Then I spent about two hours in the shed and gathered more stuff for the tip. Am shattered and quite disheartened. Garden looks awful.

I have many phone calls to make tomorrow and the sleepers are coming. hmmmmmmmm. Time for a Bounty and more tea.

(all I have drunk this holiday is tea!!!)

Try the couch to 5k app for running - or Motion Traxx run/walk intervals - you will soon be doing 5k in less than 30 minutes.

Buffy we are forever clearing our garden. Mr SA tried (without success) to move the greenhouse. It collapsed and is now in a heap only fit for a skip. So the garden is a mess yet again!

  • It does all drive me mental, each time I clear an area I find another one (or like today I make another one!!)

I dread to think what mess the shed will make. I also wonder how two people can have so much stuff........and just keep pure rubbish.

once the garden and the house are straight I shall start on the couch to 5k plan. I am still doing ankle exercises for while yet. I'll look at the motion traxx too :) X

I will have a tidy and organised garden. I WILL. *stamps foot*

I don't have a shed but the ruddy garage seems to need clearing out every 5 minutes. How does it happen? Typically I'm going to have to heave most of it out again soon as we need a new electric meter fitted, ours was fitted sometime around when the ark was first built.

I don't do running, unless someone's chasing me with a huge machete I don't really see the point. But I have increased my walking and started a bit of cycling. I've had 2 years of plantar fasciitis (sp?) to deal with and associated Achilles trouble but after doing my exercises like a good girl I'm back up to walking 3k at a time. I love walking on my own, gives me head space time.

What are you doing with the sleepers?
