  • Hi DIA. I'm so pleased that you love journaling. It is one of my favourite things. I did have a think about what makes me happy and it is gardening and crafting. I love to make things out of card. Unfortunately though all my craft stuff is packed ready to move. But I also haven't had the space here and mum has a lovely big kitchen table I will be taking over lol. I think having my mum around will help too. I'm at home with DD and then in work all day on my own. I don't think that helps.

Don't forget to number your journals on the outside if you can so in the future you can look back on them.

    Take care.

    Tink xx

Orange Ena was saying her free time is spent debt busting and decluttering and hunting deals and not socialising and relaxing. Today reminded me that my life is a bit like that. When I join the gym at least when I swim and sit in the steam room it is about being and not doing and that is important.

I’m going to make sure I socialise more…see a film or go to a gallery or maybe just have a glass of wine out now and then.

I ended up looking for a gym kit. I found one but not in my size so I’ll need to go back when they restock. Less luck with swimsuits. The ones I saw looked badly made and cheap. I might check B0den sale again. I saw one for £23 reduced from £59, even the rubbish ones I saw today were £20…

I bought more food!!! A smoked gammon joint reduced from £10 to £4. I put it in the freezer. It’s a good buy but I DONT NEED ANY MORE FOOD. I think buying food is something I do when I feel insecure. ENOUGH ALREADY STOP NOW. I have a full family freezer …

Decluttered a huge IK3A bag full of stuff to the charity shop :)

I had run out of decent socks and now I have lovely new ones. Holey socks are like stained tea towels, depressing.

I sent an email to rebook the handyman

It wasn’t the day I wanted today but it was the day I got and it wasn’t bad at all

Tomorrow I will focus on cleaning

We made it through the first day of the week people :)

Hello DIA. You're winning the positivity challenges. It's easy to feel overwhelmed, even when things are going so well. That horrible voice in your head trying to trip you up isn't good though.

Good luck finding your gym outfits. Sports Direct often have good deals and lots of choice too.

Well done on all of your achievements. MT xx

Thanks Rosa and MT for the good vibes and fitness/swimsuit suggestions. I will chase those up :)

So, so excited. Just had a call from JL. My cooker is finally in stock and it will arrive on Monday :T:T I will be able to bake my own cake. Prepare for posts where I am depressed about my ever increasing weight :rotfl:

I like to think I am not overly attached to ‘things’ but clearly this is not true.

I am going to clean my rotten old kitchen to within an inch of its life over the next few days to prepare for the new arrival :)

I could have got the old cooker removed for free by my local council but I am letting them take it away for £15 rather than live with the Steptoe & Son look in my (already very shabby) front garden for a week.

I ordered a rubbish clearance of bulky items from the council (a stainless steel bin lid, draining board, small shelf, a chair) I sneaked an old bucket and wringer into my general rubbish that I don’t need now I have a steam cleaner…

I’m WFH and I got washing on the line

Handy man now fully booked until the end of April :(

A good start to my day and it is only just past midday!

I hope your day is going well too :)

An afternoon of facing my fears

So, I told a friend I would not be going to an event with her because it is too far to get to (and too expensive too)

Then, I contacted the Oxford University gig that I was terrified of accepting. They had a photo and video release policy I was especially scared of as I hate my image being used. I told them I would be delighted to attend, but I would not be agreeing to their policy of sharing my photograph or being videoed. I have been stressing about this for weeks AND THEY SAID OKAY. That was easier than I thought. :)

I think I store up anxiety by going into denial about the things I need to face but they are still there weighing me down :o

Guess what? The sky did not fall in…

Brilliant work on the decluttering. But stop buying food! Although I'm one to talk :rotfl:

Well done on ringing Oxford Uni and them accepting your request of not being photographed. I think sometimes we run through future conversations in our heads and expect the worse possible outcome or a refusal or whatever, and we're sure of their response, we sweat it and worry for days or weeks, when actually there's no fight to be had. A wish is granted or help is given. The sky doesn't fall in :) We should rip that plaster off at the first sign of worry and deal with it. Easier said than done, I know :rotfl::D

Happy hump day. Very nearly new cooker day :D x

I completely agree with Orange Ena - I do the repeated mock conversation in my head and work things up but it's almost always nowhere near as bad as i expect.

Look at you! You're spreading your wings and doing all these amazing things! You should be proud of how far you've come and I just can't wait to see how far you will come in the next few months!

Thanks Orange Ena. I will try and catch myself and 'pull the plaster off quickly,' in future. Sadly, I have been at the food shopping again today :( It's a comfort thing I'm sure of it as today was mega stressful. At least I avoided buying junk food...I'm off tomorrow so more decluttering planned...

Thanks JoJo! I know! life is becoming exciting and just a tad scarier too :) My hope for the next few months is not to add any more balls to juggle. Also hoping to stay well and not go crazy (crazier) :)
