  • Not as much paid off due to balance transfer fees and having to reduce the amount we pay off. Also had a payment taken out for internet security which wasn't supposed to be as we have it with the phone package. Not sure if I can claim it back as just seen it on the CC statement.

  • Well done :D

Always worth a phonecall to ask if they can refund ;) Hope DD had a lovely day x
  • Good afternoon.
Nothing really to update today. No changes to the bank account.
Yesterdays spends were the £5 for DD had for college and DH has paid the storage unit up until mid nov using some of the emergency fund, was £600 already owing but he paid £940. Hopefully we will get this back when he finally sells the stock.

Today was a huge shopping day as everywhere was bare, should have been tomorrow. £132 in total but the fridge, freezer and cupboards are full and ready for back to school lunches so just £18 left for this week.

Got some washing to put out but it's looking a bit dark. Might have another cupof tea while I warm up, i'm freezing.

  • While I remember there was also £5 on photos for DD licence yesterday, just need to find someone to sign it now.

Need to remember money to fetch girls certificates for swimming too as they both moved up again this week.

  • Good morning. Wrote a huge post while laid in bed last night and then caught the wrong button and it all disappeared.

Yesterdays spending was just the shopping. Today will be a NSD.

Realised last night I never sorted the house insurance! left it for DH to look at and forgot. The other renewed on the 1st grrr!

I cant believe it's back to work tomorrow. I'm feeling so guilty that the children haven't done anything really. I've made plans but when it got to it I couldn't face it. I realised yesterday how bad it was when the little ones went to the park. I usually send the big ones every 15/20 mins to check on them but neither of them were home... It took me almost an hour to get the courage to go! I don't want every holiday to be stuck at home so need to get my self to the doctors (that's a massive thing on its own).

Suppose I better go and try to do something productive on my last day off. At least on Wednesday I can put the 4 dolls pushchairs, 2 bikes,2 scooters, rollerskates.... all back into the conservatory and the room will look better straight away (they have to be lifted out and over the table so instead of doing it 20 times a day everything has just stayed out).

  • Good morning. Nothing to update today, just the mortgage has come out.
CC that I transferred from, has one of the highest min payments (should have been £245 this month), is saying it wont take this months payment due to the balance transfer. If it doesn't, its being paid off the smallest balance card (the only one with interest) and that one will almost be gone.

Off to work soon, I've decided I HATE my shifts, I've loved being able to see swimming lessons and do tea's and put them to bed. Think i'm going to try looking for something daytime hours. Also need to ask MIL if she will collect the children after school on Mondays as DD has always done it but wont be back from college in time. If not we will look at after school club.

Was hoping today would be a NSD but hoping to get some school bits when I finish work. Girls need socks, DS1 needs trousers (I cant get any to fit him anywhere) and the big 2 need stationary/note books/folders. Still haven't ordered DS his new blazer and PE kit, Talk about being last minute.

Right better go get showered and hope the weather brightens up, said it was going to be nice today so did loads of washing last night ready to go out, it's horrible and wet out there!

  • collapsed last night under the weight of all the coats, school bags (that still haven't been emptied) .

    :rotfl::rotfl:

I bet there are parents all up and down the country saying 'mine neither'! In fact even though my kids are all grown up, that brought back such memories that I'm sitting here grinning and making resolutions to clear our equivalent! Beware of the sandwich bags - surely 50% of all lunchbox sales are directly due to last minute discoveries of six-week-old disgusting whatever-it-was-I-put-in-there-in-July. :rotfl:

  • Ha ha ok I'll admit it! We bought new lunch boxes the other day, opened her lunch bag to see if it fit in (it doesn't) and the old one was sat there! I thought DH had done it, he thought I'd done it. Luckily we knew it needed replacing so could go straight in the bin.

They now have new bags for school and the old ones have now been emptied (onto the table) to be used as swimming bags now it's getting cooler. Will hold onesie's, jumpers and swim kit instead of having to carry them seperate so saved buying new swim bags.

Still not showered or done washing... that cup of tea DD made was nice though.

  • I love recycling kids' bags (those that are still useable but apparently not fit to go out with). When my children started school I bought cheap pillowcases in child-friendly patterns to make PE bags. The idea was that pre-readers could identify their own. Years later I still have at least one on the go as a shoe bag for my own stuff.

You have also saved yourself having to sew name labels in their 'new' swimming bags. :)

  • I think I remember having a book bag made from a pillow case. It's something lovely to keep.

Spent £12.60 today on a pack of school socks and a pair of trousers for DS, he cant pull them over his legs! They are a 30/29, where has my little boy gone! so will take them back tomorrow.

Just watching obsessive compulsive cleaners, they would have a field day in here! I've realised we are becoming big hoarders!

Right better go to bed, walking 3k to work and being on my feet all afternoon has given me achy legs after 2 weeks off.
