Who was it who wiped the shelves in my local asda? I didn't think there was anyone around here/near me ..but I must be wrong.
DH popped in on the way home from work he managed to get some but he said it was obvious the ones that didn't compare were left on the shelf and all the ritz had gone, and the odd couple that did compare were left, but he had to hunt for them.

We were in Denver around election time the year that Obama first won. The friends we were staying with showed us their ballot papers, which were about 2ft long and came with a whole book of instructions, policies, manifestos etc!

Edit to add I think these work out 65p a bottle instead of the 90p I've been paying. (Hopefully correct if I'm not too rusty).
I've not been around lately as I haven't had two brass pennies to rub together. Some of you might remember my plight from late spring/early summer and it didn't end well although I just about managed to keep a roof over our head. Now I have a full time job after being a student for many years and things may be looking up. Stepchange have put us on a token payment plan and I have a bit of breathing space financially.
So I must return to the fold that is the elite and make the pennies I do have work for us.sarahskint wrote: »same redrose, last week this week of the hubby being part time at work - 18 weeks off due to that dvt/pulmonary stuff - if it wasn't for this board we would not have survived. I make a lot of cakes and Florentines in the next few weeks and give them all away to friends and family and all the neighbours. I'm very grateful to this board its allowed me to keep my dignity x
Best wishes to the pair of you. I filled up reading these:A
The word dignity is a much underused word Sarah and I know exactly where you are coming from. Hope you both filled your cupboards today:T:T
Pleased to hear you are home LEJC. What a time you've had of it:o Thank goodness you instinctively knew that you were really poorly as it sounds as if no one was going to diagnose it anytime soon. Sometimes you really have to fight to get treatment these days:oTo do is to be. Rousseau
To be is to do. Sartre
