I'm showered, have had lunch, sorted a bag out that needed to be sorted and have done 2 more modules on my course :T Popped in here for a quick break before continuing - i'd really like this one out of the way before my new course materials arrive then i can get started with that one ;)

Tried to ring energy company for a refund but as i'd suspected they're closed today.

    Back to it x

Another break to refresh - i'm nearing half-way completion on my course now, but its slower going as its more complex now.

I've also sorted my work bag for tomorrow - except packed lunch which will be put in in the morning. i've pondered my goals for this year a bit more and i've tackled some paperwork :T

Checked bank balance - sadly no mystery money has appeared :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Not sure what type of course you are taking, but keep at it. I scored myself a nice pay rise at the end of last year due to passing a course. I now apply all my knowledge to my day job and its really motivated me in my role.

Lol I always check my balance hoping for some surprise money as well.

Well how lovely to have had visitors :D

This week has seen a lot of working hours which i'm hoping will be recognised at pay review time as some of it hasn't been as productive as i'd like - usual culprits were IT issues, phone issues, power issues BUT as frustrating as its been the hard work i'm putting in should start to pay off in the next week :j - not financially but in terms of completing projects and the impact of implementing those :j *fingers crossed*

As I've been so busy there's been no unnecessary shopping :T Not even a chippy takeaway :A

So NSD's for the week are at a full week i'd say :T
Shopping has also been massively under budget although i'm beginning to tire of the same thing in the freezer now - just how many different things can 1 girl make out of burgers :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I've also finalised my goals / dreams / targets for this year and was really happy to have a day seeing progress on these, work is also a target though & that took over the latter part of this week so I need to spend the weekend redressing the balance a bit

in terms of my course I've not yet completed it and the materials have arrived for my new course  so back to it ;)

    Morning all

Long time no post - i did login to post last week but just wasn't feeling it :( - Must do better - if its one thing i've learned from here is everyone has said how posting regularly helped to keep them focused - so i'm committing to posting more often even if some of it may not be money related it'll hopefully help me keep the target in sight.

Already spent money before i got out of bed today  I've been looking at food flasks for work but felt a bit guilty after ordering as there is a microwave facility if i've time to get to it *but* then i remembered me and my Mr do go on days out to events where we take a picnic but often buy something warm to eat if the weathers a bit cool. The food at these things is very overpriced IMHO so now i can take my little food flask with me - result! It may not be piping hot but should be good enough i hope. I did shop around yesterday. didn't buy. then today when i looked at the cheapest place to buy from £6.49 - they'd sold out of my preferred colour and had sold alot in the other colour. Anyway all ordered now and free delivery *excited* :j

Bit down as its spending money and goes against my kondoing BUT if i love it and use it and it saves me / us money its a winner i say ;)

What else has been going on? I've updated my sig - the mortgage at the moment is reducing by just over £1000 a month - this is made up of my strict self-imposed £800 a month overpayment and my contractual payment of around £400. This reduction will go down in April and then significantly drop in May as i hit the 10% cap on overpayments. At this point the £800 will be being paid into savings.

Credit card in sig has been reduced :T I've had a few bay of e sales, spent less than budgeted on an item, made regular payment & had some cashback paid. Really want to get this paid off and then focus on the next card as this is the lowest balance card I wanted this paid off first and then i can move onto next lowest balance but that's still around £3K at 0%. I need to sit and spend some time making a plan as to how to pay off these cards as i want to put money into savings but can't whilst paying these off.

In other news, I also need to make sure i make time for myself and maybe need to look at a bit of time management. i do suffer with fatigue alot but i think if i push myself into a routine things may get easier. In making time for myself one of my goals for this year was to read 12 new books - I've read one and am onto my second - this necessitated the looking for 2nd hand books online - so more spends to come but i do get alot of pleasure out of reading, i pass the books onto family and then sell them on again.

This week though i need to look at some of my other goals for this year - a couple do again involve spending money - not lots - but it is still spending but these are things i want to do to get pleasure out of doing them and hopefully to build my confidence a bit as well as getting out and meeting new people.

I'm on the last section of my course before the exam  The course should be 6 months and i've done it in a few weeks - i want to pass with a good grade as this will help me with work and future job prospects so the next month or so i'll spend revising before taking the exam.

Hope everyone is well and i'll be back soon :D
