I PAID OFF MY C@PITAL CARD TODAY.

And all my credit card statements have come through, meaning I can deduct my cleared payments, so I have cleared:

    £252.84/£1500

    Wooooooo!

Congrats. I loved paying off the credit cards. No more ghastly minimum payments coming out every month (and taken by our bank in addition to anything we had paid off during the month, i.e. they didn't ever recalculate it).

cannot get smilies to work, clicking on them but just writing appearing, any help please , thank you

    Hi mattie,

If you pick a post to reply to, so it will show up in quotes, as above, but then highlight and delete the quoted part, so that only your post remains, the smilies will all then be available for your post.

It's a workaround - mine doesn't work if I just post from scratch either. I usually just "reply" to my own most recent post, then delete the quote.

    Hey everyone,

Another £180.19 paid for me today!

    #29 checking in £760.19/£10000

  • Thanks got the advice I've just dropped my card to 0%. Just sitting here feeling a bit depressed by it all. I feel like I'm on top of my debt but every time I make a bit of headway something comes along like Christmas, the car breaks or the cooker. If I wasn't paying these debts that would be my buffer I need a holiday and the only way is the cc then it'll kill me afterwards. Is there a better way am Zi doing something wrong. On s plus meal planning is saving me money.

A weekly payment has gone out, and I sent a little bit more on a monthly payment. Other good news is that I was told that I'm acting in a higher position at work for the next month so more cash in the pay packet, and the experience will be good for when they advertise the job :-) Hope everyone else is doing well.

Using here as a list for all debts as at 01/01/17

+ current CC balances (paid off in full monthly but Dec balances may be higher than normal!!)
    M&S 615
    Deb 168
    T1 nil :D
    T2 1160

    total 1943 :(

OK - I've got to the point where we have made all payments for the month now - will continue putting any extras aside into account ready to do extra payment on PO CC next month (payment due 07/02 and if I pay anything now they won't take DD - and I want DD to go out as OH is doing a c/ac switch and only has that and another DD on his c/ac)

    My update is:
(Also paid off all Dec CC balances of £1943 - but they don't count towards my £10k total)

    (OH) VW 13166 - repay min 3612/ Paid 302 (8%)
    (me) Sains 5852 - repay min 3564/ Paid 293 (8%)
    (OH) Next 973 - repay all 973/ Paid 973 (100%):j
    (OH) PO CC 350 - repay all 350/ Paid 0 (0%)
    (Jt) Tax Cr 1444 - repay all 1444/ Paid 150 (10%)
    Totals: 21711 - ouch! (9943) - 2017 target 10k

So total of target paid for Jan is £1718/ £10k for Number 15 :D

    Thank you, muppets :) x
