Sad news though - Phantom pregnancy and labour
She has had two previous litters, of only two puppies each - she is a Maltese and litter sizes are generally small. But labour lasted about 3 hours both times previously. So I took her to the Vets earlier as I was getting concerned.
Vet did a thorough ultrasound and manual examination and definitely no puppies there
She is still showing all the signs of labour though and even has milk.
The Vet says she may have been carrying a puppy but it died earlier in the pregnancy and has been re-absorbed
How sad and disappointing, but she has had an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory and a good check over.
Oh sorry to hear this JTS:o Poor thing. Isn't it incredible how powerful the brain can be, convincing her that she was not only pregnant but then also in labour. Bet the pair of you are exhausted:oTo do is to be. Rousseau

I rather like your coral pumps Enterprise
Difficult typing as I stripped all the dead Yucca leaves off & have cut my hands to ribbons. Wearing plasters on my finger pads as they are quite deep
You know how you start one job that escalates in to another etc etc what started as a quick hand Dyson up the wooden stairs, involved prizing stones out of floor boards joins, hand sweeping out pipe work behind loo, shoe racks & litter tray... moving the fridge, cleaning small bird statues on porch step, onto sweeping path way, then decided to cut back my 'dead' clematis
You know my beautiful clematis, nothing this year - all brown branches
so I have stripped back a third so far today, off the communal railings , making many snails homeless, (safely carried to a grassy area) whilst throwing cuttings for neighbours dog,
There are some leaves coming through now but it needs a good hair cut.
Especially through the arch way, without having to crouch to pass under
I've given up now & left it in a heap for tomorrowOur Family Motto ~If all else fails - read the instructions...
