Hi
We have two 4 ft fluorescent tubelights in our garage.
One is dead and other one is flickering a lot.
We do use garage a lot and plan to replace these with LED tubelights.
But I slightly confused with terminologies involved.Link,T5,T8,Led tubes,Led replacement tubes etc
In case the old batten and fittings are faulty-I would rather change the whole fittings rather than take risk of just replacing tubes.
So what should I be buying?I went to local wickes and salesperson was clueless and was asking me to buy coventional flourescent tubes.

I'd just buy complete LED replacement lights with a cool colour tone - and pay somebody else to fit them.
But in the meantime, I'd try spending a couple of pounds on replacement starters from the corner shop to see whether that's the issue before getting involved with anything more convoluted.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
I bought lights from here: https://www.ledhut.co.uk/led-strip-lights.html and found the explanations at the bottom of the page helpful. (I needed to change the whole fitting, and had an electrician come and do it, but you might be more confident than me!)0

You used to have to faf about with altering the wiring in fluorescent fitting.
Now you just fit a dumb starter.
Dead easy.
Have a look here..................
