  • MAMAN,

The fancy mash you made sounds pretty much like the delicious SW homity pie I made the other week. Basically mashed potatoes with veg, an egg stirred through with cheese on the top and baked. Total comfort food in my opinion. I'll have to make it again soon.

My dad loved haslet and brawn and pigs trotters and tripe and all sorts of weird stuff. I think he got the taste when travelling up north for work.

God knows where he was up north....:eek::eek::eek:

I have been sinful tonight. GF is going home for an interview tomorrow, so we ended up going to the local for a meal.... and I fell off the wagon but managed to grab a hold of it as my feet were dangling on the floor! Bread crossed my lips... :o:o:o:o:o

  • Well done dawlydthing & congratulations shiprob!

Cooked the Caribbean jerk pot tonight & it didn't taste half bad - even if I do say so myself! Also cooked the fake Greggs steak bakes - which also seem to have gone down a treat.

Not sure about tomorrow's menu .......though I think it might include pork!
