I think I'm going to have to do some serious tidying up here. We've got several people coming to dinner tonight and I don't think there is a single place in the house where I could stand still and not see piles of stuff that should be somewhere else. I'm going to do five minutes in each room or area until it doesn't look like a tornado has blown through.

I'm sorry several Flyladies don't like wrapping presents. It's my favourite part of the the preparations. Virtual 'wrapping with wings' vibes to everyone confronted by separate piles of stuff and rolls of paper.

Thanks for the posi vibes DD2 has survived her shift. They will let her know by Wednesday if she has a job, so fingers crossed. Apparently the boss told her she liked the way she greeted customers and was polite

I have been to Aldi and got a few bits - so much quicker than going to a big supermarket. I treated myself to a bottle of peach schnapps as well They are getting their turkeys etc in on Wednesday 19th, in case anyone is interested.

DH is having a cuppa & then off to collect DD1 from Ipswich. Hopefully we won't have any episodes like juliejim over Christmas with an escaped hamster! Have you found the gerbil yet?

Ok - quick cuppa, then back to the books. I will assemble the lasagne when they are on their way back.

Evening all!

Well we are all v tired here. The kiddies have had a fun-filled three days, and need an early night. Today was great, they both spoke to Santa, said thank you for their gifts and were generally quite charming. DD in particular was quite amazed. Cue emergency @mazon order for a dinosaur cuddly after what he told Santa. Was only £6 and he does have less than his sis, but he seemed gutted that his cars weren't dinosaurs.

We had a Christmas dinner in a "brewers f@yre" where they have a playcentre. So a good time was had by all, and I am still full!

DS is fine for nursery, his skin really clearing up, so that's a relief. So, bags are ready, just need to make my pack up.
DW been on and did a hhi after they had tea. They took all their toys back into the playroom, and are still in there, drawing (I hope!). Tonight I will empty DW and get all our clothes ready for morning.

Early night all round I hope...

ETA tots away to bed, they are both shattered - hhc at 7pm if it stays quiet - then I might do some wrapping! Famous last words

you be the wrapping smurf then

We have trimmed up. DS refused to go in the loft - maybe asking him post-football was not a good idea; I can't haul myself up there (tis a balance on the top-of-the-stepladder job - still haven't got my loft ladder) but with support my spider-hating DD managed it. She has done her designer tree (white lights and silver baubles and tinsel) in the DR; I have selected a hotch potch of decs for the LR tree and she has put them on but she wouldn't do bead stringsso I have bead stringed the swag I hang from the banister rail, which is also lit up and which IMO looks excellent.
I STILL haven't done other stuff I MUST do, though

Been invited to the theatre (matinee) xmas eve as there has been a dropout. My Fair Lady no less!
