I cannot find stardrops anywhere at all
I use MySupermarket.com to tart my shopping list between all the major supermarkets. Ultimately it would be Stardrops' availability that would govern where I'd complete my monthly delivery shop but one by one the main chains have ceased stocking it. Last to go have been Sainsburys and Asda. Considering it's popularity with MSE'ers here I wonder if the chains have dropped it because it's perceived as impacting on sales of marketed 'specialised' cleaners...?He's not the MSE'er. He's a very naughty boy!0 -

Have you tried Wilkinsons (Wilko). Thats where I have to get mine from:beer:0 -
I came across Stardrops for the first time ever today in a little stall at an indoor market. They had both ordinary Stardrops and Stardrops with ammonia, not the cheapest at £1.50 a bottle (I didn't check but they were likely 750ml or 1l bottles I think).
I didn't buy any yet as I wasn't sure which was best to get of the two? I'm assuming the normal/plain version is more versatile because ammonia can't necessarily be used to everything, but that the ammonia version woud be more useful/powerful on particularly tough stains (we use turmeric a lot for dinner and so have little yellow stains all over the cream countertop that i'd love to be rid of)?
Can anyone offer any advice on which to get (or failing that, does anyone know of anything else that would work on turmeric stains)?0 -

Ohh, I'm always on the lookout for a good price for White vinegar, what's the best price you've had on here?
Previously I've bought via a Chinese supermarket on ebay - 10L for £11 inc postageWhether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -
Newbie question - my neighbour swears by Stardrops and I also came across this thread - but I have sensitive skin and allergies - does anyone know if it causes them problems?0

I used the regular Stardrops (yellow one) to do my bathroom the day before yesterday and no skin reactions at all. I usually have sensitive skin. However my bathroom was done quickly and I was rinsing my hands constantly. I usually wear gloves to do my cleaning but this time I was in a hurry. Of course I have no idea what it would be like if I used Stardrops all the time with no gloves on.

All household cleaning stuff will dry your skin, which can lead to irritation. It has to if it's any good at removing grease from things. The safest bet is to wear gloves, so that's what I do. Even for washing plates. I don't find stardrops a problem with my asthma, the smell seems harmless, but experiences vary of course.0 -
I have sensitive skin and use Stardrops happily (although like Ben & Moon I use gloves most of the time, there are odd occasions I don't)
I have been buying Stardrops from my Co-op (proper Co-op, not convenience store) for £1.0 -
Never seen this version before but Wilko's are now selling Stardrops Gel at £1 a bottle. Can use it dilute or neat
Worth a try at just £1:heartpuls The best things in life aren't things :heartpuls
