Morrisons party food VENT

So we are trying to get organised for a party at the beginning of Nov.
Morrisons have a party food catalogue so we worked out our order about £300 worth and a week ago went to the shop to be told we cannot order from that catalogue, they were still on the counter, and should wait for the new catalogue!
OK the new catalogue will be in Monday, today, BUT it is still not available, in store they say Wednesday and when I phoned head office they say there is no release date yet!
We cannot order online as almost everything is "out of stock"

Are you not seeing some warning signs there?
  • Can't you just buy the stuff from the supermarket shelf?

In fairness it will take a bit longer, but at least you'll get to see the quality of the food and the quantity.
  • Put the oven on and make some fairy cakes. Job's a good one and be done with the useless emporium!

Special orders and ready made items cost a huge amount more than DIY. Most supermarkets have a party range of frozen savouries, desserts and snacks, if you really don't want to DIY or have list of who brings what contribution.

Thanks for replies but we will be busy all afternoon on that day and just want to pick up enough for about 60 people for the evening. We will not have access to an oven so it must be ready to eat. Local caterers have not been great in the past and charge £8 a head for a buffet.
Locally we can go to a small Lidl, a medium size Tesco and a big Morrisons.None of them will have enough party food without a special order.
Just feel they have let us down after we spent time sorting our order.

Costco do a good selection of party supplies at prices cheaper than you could make them.

Have you tried to place an order on Tesco Easy Entertaining ? It's a sub section on their grocery website.
  • Iceland have quite a good selection too. Might be worth having a day out at various supermarkets.

Thanks BUT both of those sell UNCOOKED party food. We will not have access to n OVEN!!!!!
Tesco show lovely plates of cooked food but it all comes RAW, this is not made clear until you try to order it!
Iceland is frozen food I think, anyway there isn't one any where near here.
