    Yes, this page suggests that Rome is only second to Beijing.

    EDIT: Sorry, the page that I linked to is misleading. I now agree with Chyna-s and Biker*Chick that Paris is probably the answer that they are looking for, apologies :o

    Thanks Roger - the tricky thing is are they talking about total number of hotels, or just the ones listed on the Ebookers website???

    I've gone on the basis of it being to do with Ebookers listed hotels, but I could be totally wrong!

    Yes, I entered using Rome but now I think that Paris works better, sorry peeps! :o

    The link that I gave has used a combination of hotels, B&B/inns, speciality lodging and holiday rentals on TA. I make that a total of 6,517 for Paris and 9,669 for Rome, but the question is "how many hotels" and I'm not sure that the link I gave actually answered that question (although they implied that they were) .
