in Water bills
hi guys, newbie renting but i have some questions regarding water.
ive been in my property for 4 months now and was assuming ide recieve a water bill any time soon.
the water is still running and no issues thus far. so my question is what do i do?
am i at fault?
are the previous tenants still paying?
should i ring my agent and ask who the supplier is and ring them to find out whats going on?
thank you

Do the water company know who you are ??Have you registered with them .
It would be best to speak to the agent first to see what the system is they use .0 -
thanks. ive setup an account with my supplier now.
my agent sounded rather !!!!ed and said im in breach of my agreement.

Dont ring up and request it. Some suppliers offer a discount if they dont send a bill to you for say, 2 years.
Southern Water, for example, used to offer to pay half of the bill on the condition of setting up a direct debit for the other half
Just save a reasonable allocation, around £40 per month (i.e. for water and wastewater) and then when the bill comes in, see if you can get some money off.0 -
yeah. but im renting i dont want to get into trouble and for them to get !!!!y over technicalities if i wish to break early.0
