So, there I am planning ahead... wondering what to with this newly freed-up money.... never in a million years did I expect my next (largish) purchase to be..... a new battery for my car! lol #lifethrowsallsortsatyou

Thanks lozzy81 - I am feeling rather chuffed with myself at the moment.

Saying that, I have just recalculated how much I have repaid since I began my DF journey in Nov 2008.... £25,125.00!!!! *GULP*
Only £1250 of this was paid off in the first 3 years... and then the rest since Jan 2011.

Hi!

Looking ahead I have decided it is time to make sure my money is working hard for me!! It feels like I have been a slave to the pennies for so long, it's time the shoe was on the other foot (don't get me started on shoes - I am desperately trying not to think about buying new shoes!!)
So, phase one of my money working for me is complete - I have opened a new current account with H4lif4x. This will be for the 'household' account. I get £125 for switching accounts and £5 every month I am in credit (which I will be as my spreadsheet tracks everything!) So that is £185 free money over the next 12 months!

Morning All!

So... this is the first payday of not having to move money around. It feels kinda odd! I have logged on as usual this morning and just checked that my account balance matches my spreadsheet - which of course it does! :O)
Need to get the next two weeks out of the way and pay the credit card and then I can assess where I am and formulate a proper plan!
Being patient isn't my strongest point - but one thing I have learned over the past 7 years is that being organised and not spending money you don't yet have is the way forward!!
Right, off to see if there is any surveys etc that can be done to earn some more free pennies (this is something that I will continue to do! I like money for nothing!!)

Just wondering - how does everyone get on with T0lun4? I have just logged back in and have 7500 points - but need something like 80,000 to checkout in cash! This seems like a HUGE mountain to climb!! Is it worth slogging on, or forgetting about it?

1 item sold on fleabay last night. I only re-listed yesterday afternoon... it had been on there several times already for 30 days at a go! There is someone for everything! lol
Must go through some more items that I can pop on auction! I MUST!!
