  • Found 30p on the living room floor so snaffled that and £1 in change. £1.30 potted today. :j

I like this turning over my MSE leaf as checking bank accout again daily. Seem very flush at the minute but dad's bday next week and DD1 the week after. Although I do have money going in before that and clearing Christmas credit card bill last month so nothing to pay there...:A

Had the mortgage statement today and only have about 18 months left to pay on that too:T:T DH been over paying for years. We have an endowment due in 2018 so feel a nice holiday coming on as will be our silver wedding the following year!

All in all feel very happy today. I'm sure something will come along and burst my happy financial bubble but for now I'm very happy. :)

    Love to all xx

Today I spotted 20p in the supermarket by the self-service tills but wasn't brazen enough to go and so obviously go out of my way to pick it up, despite my husband saying "just go for it!" In the end, he picked it up for me :D

So a free 20p potted for me today :)

VickyA, sorry to hear you are struggling at the moment. I don't know if there are particular things you are struggling with or if it is just life in general; but I do understand how demanding and exhausting your job can be. Sending you big hugs. Keep going and keep talking about it. Eventually you'll get through it and get to the light at the end of the tunnel. In the meantime, be kind to yourself. :heart2:

Oh well dinglefoot, at least you did walk back down the hill again but I dare you next time to......go on and walk up!! :j You'll feel a whole lot better once you get back just for having done it alone let alone the goodness the exercise will do you!! BTW I've just read your last post and can't believe your DH had to rescue that 20p?!!! Shocking behaviour from an SPCer! Try this tip: next time nanchellantly wander over and step on it, then either pick it up or slowly draw it over to where you're comfortable in stopping for it. If you don't pick it up someone else will!!! ;)
Very well done on having completed the assignment, and great news on saving so much!!!!

Good Morning everyone! Enjoy your day as much as is possible, if it's not a good one let's hope for a brighter tomorrow! Anyway, folks be sure to keep warm andvery safe! ;) To all our members who are poorly or down in any way, take great care and let these {{{{hugs}}}} help you feel much better soon. :grinheart

I can understand you wanting your DD's toe to look that bad that the Podiatrist will swing into action, jakes-mum, he/she may well do an in between job for now to alleviate things for her. Our DS didn't let DH & I know just how bad his was as he desperately wanted to go on the Ten Tors walking weekend on Dartmoor about 20 years ago!!! His Colour Sergeant was forced to bring him home as his toe was in a heck of a state! All the infection had to be cleared up before it was operated on! What a dork, he had a load of tongue pie from his Dad & I!! An excellent amount potted!!!

I was only able to try to help Vicky, Antomac, as I've been through 2 breakdowns myself in the 80s! I wouldn't wish one of those on anyone! Talking out ones feelings is key to keeping from having a NB so I sincerely hope she gets all the help necessary. You're right in that the stigma attached isn't anywhere near what it used to be, thank goodness. Good to see your keeping your time away in sight re your savings!! :D

£2.50 is still a good amount potted, Fivebyfive, so stay happy. Whenever it's possible to pot more then do so, but be content for now!

Good to hear things are going well with you and yours, siju, a good amount potted too.

Very wise thinking Florence, here's hoping you'll be feeding your pot very soon!

You really are turning over a new MSE leaf, mumof3plusoh, sounding chuffed to bits about your achievements too!! :j

Marvellous news of your mortgage! It's surprising just how fast that 18 months will go! You hang onto that happy happy feeling as long as you can, I'm quite thrilled for you.

Such lovely and comforting words to Vicky, mossy. I hope all's well with you all. :D

Enjoy a super Wednesday, SPCers, stay warm, healthy and......potting!!! :D
