  • Hadn't heard of Together prior to seeing them on this site so I thought I would give it a go. Good customer service and competitive quote. Now just waiting on my voucher to be sent to me so all good so far. Would certainly recommend getting at least a quote from them to see what they can do.

My buildings and contents insurance is due for renewal on 1 May 2015.

    Quotes so far:

    Aviva (renewal): £167.01
Policy Expert (VFMCover): £185.55 + £80 Amazon voucher
    Age UK: £269.99 + £75 M&S voucher
    Together Mutual: £124.13 + £80 M&S voucher

Does anyone here have further experience with Together Mutual?
  • I also run a quote with a number of home insurance providers and Together came back far cheaper than any others. I also spoke to someone on the phone to help me with my quote and they were really helpful - great customer service! I ended up taking a combined policy for £130 with an £80 voucher. So ONLY paying £50 for the whole year! Well good!

    Thanks for that.

I very nearly went with Policy Expert because I was very impressed with how helpful they were on the phone, but Together's competitive quote won me over.

I got a quote on a price comparison site that was under £90 from them for building and contents almost £34 cheaper than nearest price, but because I am worried about the company not being well known or who their underwriters are and if anything could happen as regards this, so opted to take the safer option and get insurance from a well known company instead.

Would have loved to have got insured with them, but thought if its too good to be true.....

Maybe I was wrong in doing this I really don't know.

  • Theyre underwiteen by UIA Insurance, a failry credible company. This is what they say on their website - 'Our parent company is UIA; a specialist company which has been providing high quality home insurance for over 100 years. Being part of UIA, we’re a mutual company, which means we’re able to put people before profits'

You shouldnt have been put off. I thought similar at first but theyre fairly reputable and provided a great service. Theyve also been around for a while by the looks of it! Great company and price!

    hi
    I hope this helps
we have just bought our home insurance with together mutual insurance not the cheapest but not far off, easy to fill out online and 0% for monthly payments. after getting a quote we weren't bombarded with phone calls or emails like other companies!!!!!!!!!! (gocompare, policy expert(the worst)). paperwork arrived within a couple of days and direct debit sorted. so fingers crossed all is well, but as with all insurance companies its not until you have to claim do their true colours come out!!!!!!!! went through mse so in 3 months we will receive a £80 voucher for m&s.

  • Followed the advice of not auto renewing. Looked at Together Mutual and were significantly cheaper than existing provider who had upped charges from £202 to £291. No claims having been made over the last 6 years have switched and will get the benefit of a further £80 M & S voucher. They are a mutual which ticks a box for me. We will see how we are this time next year!
