Thanks! Good Luck with Motley Crue tickets (I love them too!).

In my case I once went to a public meeting on my own because I was interested in the content. At the break I was stood on my own feeling so awkward and daft, I'd even forgotten my phone so couldnt ring a mate or go on facebook.. I was just stood there against the bar for 15 minutes til the meeting restarted. Afterwards a man came up to me and struck up a conversation - on our subsequent date he said to me, it was just so sexy to see a confident young woman stood so relaxed on her own, not having to fiddle with her phone or have the company of a friend
I have never forgotten that and it has given me the confidence to go all sorts of places alone, including gigs.
So Miss Independent you may meet the man of your dreams, my auntie and uncle met at a bruce springsteen concert they'd both gone to alone. Although at beyonce, maybe not!

I think if that happens I'll probably buy a ticket then have a hot flush and faint

I often go to concerts on my own and have a fantastic time.
My OH works away and a lot of my friends don't like the same music that I do. Why should I miss out that's just silly. Life is too short to worry about little things.
I have never felt worried about being on my own. Everyone is there for the same reason so everyone just mucks in together. I have made loads of friends at gigs especially when lining up outside.

I've been to loads of events alone. The weekend just gone I went to a two-day convention on my own and in May I'm going to a gig on my own. What's the problem? I've also been to the cinema alone a lot too. What is people's issue with needing company to do things like this?

I would definately go on my own...I umm'd and arrr'd about going to see Prince on my own when he was over here and I chickened out, I still kick myself over that after having seen the reviews and spoken to other people about how good it was. I'll never do that again.

If you read my first post you will see that I have done lots of things on my own (cinema, theatre, opera, weekend away - heck I've even been to a wedding where I only knew the bride on my own). I don't have an "issue" with doing things by myself - I'd just never been to an arena concert alone and wanted to hear people's experiences on going to one alone, if it was safe and advisable.
And anyway...a few days ago I posted that I have a ticket .

At Beyonce, that would take nothing short of divine intervention, I'd imagine Buggly!
Although I may meet the Gay BFF of my dreams lol.

I've been to a few big concerts on my own mainly because I didn't know anyone else who'd go and like the music. I really enjoyed it and got picked up afterwards by hubby. Was never scared or felt unsafe.
