Hope your meeting with the head teacher puts your mind at rest 1LL - rest assured, they will have dealt with similar before, and it will be a big step for your DS :) I agree with DNMS, your kids do sound mature and sensible.

    So far today I have:
HG cooked fruit from freezer for breakfast instead of bought fresh fruit :)
Pegged washing on line, hopefully it won't rain!
Packed an ebay sale ready to post, also RM survey item
    Prepared items for sales unit

    Still to do:
Get something out of freezer for dinner
    Bits in fridge for lunch
Go to sales unit and post office. Also need to collect a parcel from the sorting office.
Need to buy printer ink unfortunately - still, as 99% of it is used for business, I count it as a business expense!
Also need yogurt and peanut butter
Floors need washing after the yucky weather :(
Need to pay gas fitter's bill for servicing the boiler

Today's big news - I won £10 of shopping vouchers in the RM surveys daily draw thing :T OK, not that big, but I never win anything! :rotfl:Will use it to buy some fish for the freezer in Iceland :)

    Hello Friends,
I'm going to put my feet up in a minute. I've had a headache since lunchtime which is refusing to shift. Today's frugalities:
*Made burgers from l/o mince & some coriander that was on its last legs. Served in home made cobs with a big salad & carrot mayonnaise.
*Fed sourdough jar ready to mix up loaf tomorrow. Made sourdough crackers with the portion of culture I'd normally discard. Very nice!! Will make again.
*Knitted 3 more tiny blanket squares for my thrift project throw.
*Two baths from 1 lot of hot water.
*Cut conditioner bottle open. Enough for 3 more uses in there.
*Think about things I can usefully do in town tomorrow while I have the car & access to a morning of free parking.
*Picked a small bunch of parsley from greenhouse & noticed lots of my seeds have germinated. Snow has all melted too so felt almost springlike!
*Being tough with cat who has made it clear that he isn't eating the tragic gruel we've served up. Unfortunately for him, our zero food waste policy also extends to cats.

Ziggy - I still do those feedback surveys but only ones where I feel the chances of winning are a little higher......Waitrose because they have fewer stores than the major chains, & our Co-op because it's retained its regional independence & only covers the extreme eastern side of our county & the neighbouring one. I'm determined to win one of them!
    Ok, time for some headache-zapping.
    Love to all,
    F xx

Late post as busy day, same again tomorrow as work is busy, busy, busy. Few thing to keep the faith:

    Checked banking, update sheet
Pay off a spend on just for points cc
Leftover swede/sweet potato mash on cottage pie I made yesterday
Bought some of my lunch home as it was too much and my snacks. Will take back tomorrow, and a full water bottle and hot drink for commute.
Replied to my section 75 email request from credit card provider
Big bag of clothes gifted to us including a 'label' item for £75 that still had the tag on  I don't spend that much on a whole outfit for me :rotfl:
Was also gifted 2 coats for the smalls. Very grateful.
Used some frozen cauli rice for tea. Cooks straight from freezer :T
Froze some savoury muffins I made at the weekend.

Hopefully we'll get to the gym tomorrow after work. Hopefully tomorrow will feel more springlike.

Morning all :hello: was up 15 minutes earlier than plans and I didn't need to wash my hair so I have 5 minutes to get on here and commit to a list :D

Check banking - no change :T
Breakfast and lunch to work from leftovers/stores including yesterday's lunch and 2/3rds of a banana smallest gave up on last night as she was too tired to eat it. It's so tough being 5 :rotfl:
Made dd packed lunch, she was up so helped me. She's got a Easter cake in there she made at brownies last night.
Parents evening tonight then to gym
DH will use membership today as it's his day off
DH to do some decorating too so we can hopefully get our room finished sometime soon. Must chase electrician (again)
Taking hot drink for commute, hoping it's kind as I'm early and refillable water to work
Something chicken related for tea as I still haven't packaged them all up individually, will do that tonight.

Right, must go and finish coffee and warm up car as Jack Frost has been. Hope the daffs have survived him.

    Morning all :)
Looks sunny outside, but bitingly cold and frosty
I have to go to the local hospital for an xray on my pesky hip this morning :( At least I will know why it is hurting I suppose! Done, but none the wiser as the results will take about a week to reach the doctor's surgery apparently. The actual process was pretty efficient though, no appointment needed, about 20 minutes wait, the doctor's referral info was on their computer. Really hoping I don't need an operation, but I am finding walking really painful atm :(
    Other than that:
Check banks and update spreadsheet if needed Done, no changes so no amendments needed
Ebay parcels to pack All ready to post tomorrow
Make a cake or something Not done, or not yet anyway. OH has been fishing and is gutting fish in the kitchen as we speak, so not sure if this will happen today!
Decide what to do for dinner - meal planning fail (again) but it will be something we have already! HM tomato sauce from the freezer with pasta, grated parmesan and salad. Pretty quick and easy and just as well, as I won't be able to start till OH is out of the way with his blinkin fish!
Load of washing, peg outside to dry Done, all dry :)
Some cleaning Hoovered and dusted bedroom, a bit of spot cleaning in a couple of other places where I noticed particularly grotty patches
    No spending planned NSD :D

    More coffee first though!

Hope everyone has a good day :)
