It may not account for everything, but bear in mind, the panel heaters probably aren't on the heating circuit and will cost a lot more to run than the storage.

Also, just to confirm, there's no en-suite or downstairs bathroom with an electric shower?

Panel heaters weren't used once during the month of october for the initial readings but they are on the cheap rate system. The hydro man that was last out confirmed it.

We have one bathroom and it has an electric shower yes.

Read the meteers agin early in the morning - hopefully only the heating should have been on overnight with faily minimal use of the domestic rate.

It really is worthwhile taking readings two or three times a day for a week or so to see when you are using all this electricity and what is switched on. Ideally at roughly the same times every day.

Set up a spreadsheet so you can keep a record of the readings
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers

Ok so you have used a KW in one hour on domestic.
    That's quite a bit considering I use 3 kw in a day.
What's been running in the last hour.

The OP is a family of 5 , its winter, its teatime so no extraordinary.

3kw a day is extraordinary. 1000 units a year when the average is between 3-4000.
Never pay on an estimated bill

Yes I suppose they might be cooking but they are looking for reasons for high usage so worth pointing out.
    Still isn't 69kw a day though.

    wow this sucks..

This is exactly what was on in that hour: TV (108w), Living room ceiling light (3 x 42w bulbs = 126w). Then I had the kitchen light on for a few minutes here and there (similar to living room light wattage). My marine tank (not sure what it used really, heaters come on as and when needed, all equipment is low wattage, lights draw about 80w, they are leds), desktop pc (again not sure the wattage use)

The PC is not on 24/hrs a day, maybe 3-4.
Lights on marine tank on 12 hours a day but only full wattage for 7 hours)

Also worth noting I've not long had the marine tank, the energy bills have been ongoing for a long time now.

Is the tank heated as that could be quite a power sapper.
Not got a bulb in my house over 9w.
