Cineworld 'Movies for Juniors'

A couple of years ago, before they started properly branding it, we unwittingly ended up seeing Arthur Christmas as part of the Movies for Juniors thing (I think at the time it was just £1 per ticket)

The cinema was really quiet and we didn't think anything of it, but afterwards we wondered if it's actually suitable for people without kids to go to these cheap showings?

Right now you can see films like Kubo or The Secret Life of Pets (we love Louis CK!) for just a couple of quid each, but are adults only allowed to these showings? We're looking at the cinema listings and it seem to say one way or another.

The cinema staff won't care either way (in my experience). Just be warned that the kids showings don't have the lights dimmed down as much and children can be noisy and kick chairs but you won't be able to complain.

I've been on my own to kids screenings before if I've missed the normal screenings.

Kubo is really really good

The films are always at the bottom of the 'What's on?' listings, so it's nice to know that when a film we originally missed like Kubo comes along we can probably go along and see it, and at a discounted rate too!

Kubo and the Two Strings matches its incredible animation with an absorbing -- and bravely melancholy -- story that has something to offer audiences of all ages.

I think it depends, I was told at 2 different cinema chains that adults going to kids films essentially wasn't allowed (as in the implication why would a single adult want to go to a kids film unless they wanted to be around kids in a sinister way)
